Outes abre as becas para deportistas base e adaptado 2026

The Outes City Council opens the call for scholarships for grassroots and adapted athletes corresponding to the year 2026, with a budget allocation of 4,900 euros and a deadline for submitting applications until September 30 at 11:59 PM. The guidelines were approved by Mayoral Decree No. 2026-0528 of September 4, 2026, and are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 176, of Tuesday, September 15, 2026, under announcement 2026/5933.

The call, processed under a competitive bidding regime, aims to support and promote sports practice and performance in the municipality, helping to alleviate the expenses derived from high-level federated competition. It is aimed at grassroots sports, for ages between 10 and 25, and adapted sports, between 10 and 30, and evaluates achievements obtained in official competitions held between October 1 of the previous year and September 30 of the current year.

Two lines of subsidy

Two lines of aid are established, which are incompatible with each other, depending on the type of athlete’s participation:

  • Line A: athletes participating in individual championships or in pairs, when no individual modality of their discipline exists.
  • Line B: athletes who, participating in team championships, were called up for training or matches with their respective regional or national teams.

The maximum amount per athlete will be 1,500 euros, distributed according to the evaluation criteria established in the guidelines. The budget allocation is 341/48003 of the current municipal budget for 2026.

Requirements and documentation

Scholarships may be requested by persons federated in any category of a sports discipline, registered in the Outes City Council with a minimum seniority of two years and with a valid federative license. They must be up to date with tax obligations to the council and other administrations.

Applications shall be submitted to the General Registry of the Council or through the electronic office, using the standardized form, accompanied by:

  • Photocopy of the DNI (and of the guardian or legal representative in the case of minors).
  • Photocopy or certificate of the federative license.
  • Bank details for the deposit of the subsidy.
  • Responsible declaration of being up to date with tax obligations.
  • Certificate from the federation with the data to evaluate the requested line.

Evaluation and granting

The evaluation will be carried out by an Evaluation Commission designated by the Mayor’s Office, which will score achievements in Galician, national, European, and world championships, as well as in the Olympic and Paralympic games, with additional points for women’s competitions or adapted sports. The proposed resolution will be published on the council’s notice board and on the electronic office, with a period of ten business days for allegations.

The resolution of the Mayor’s Office will be notified to the interested parties, who will have seven calendar days to accept or waive the grant. The document, signed by the mayor Francisco Calo Abelleira in Outes on September 10, 2026, will enter into force the day following its publication in the official bulletin.

This call reinforces municipal support for grassroots and adapted sports, a commitment that seeks to recognize the effort of local athletes and facilitate their participation in high-level federated competition, in a municipality that wants to consolidate its sporting fabric.
