Ourense grants a 100% subsidy for the Pazo Paco Paz to 29 entities

The Governing Board of the Deputación de Ourense has agreed to grant a 100% discount on the public price for the use of the Pazo dos Deportes Paco Paz facilities to a total of 29 sporting and social entities for the 2025-2026 season. The decision, adopted in the ordinary session of August 17, 2026, was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on August 25, 2026, in section I (Provincial Deputation of Ourense), under reference R. 2.056.

The agreement was adopted by delegation of competence from the Plenary of the Provincial Corporation (BOP no. 184, of August 11, 2023) and signed by the president, Luis Menor Pérez. The grant is applied in accordance with the regulatory bases published in BOP no. 122, of July 1, 2026, and affects both the continuous use of the facilities and occasional and extraordinary activities.

Beneficiary entities

The 100% discounts reach entities with continuous use, which used the spaces throughout the season, and entities with occasional or extraordinary activities. Among the beneficiaries are:

The discount also benefits groups under special protection and social and health entities, which carry out extraordinary activities by virtue of an agreement with the Deputación:

Evaluation criteria

The discount percentage is granted according to the score obtained in the evaluation of the applications, in accordance with base 6 of the regulatory bases. The criteria include the number of athletes and teams, the level of competition, the economic constraints of the entity, and other special circumstances. The scale ranges from 100% (from 36 to 55 points) to 0% (less than 3 points); all admitted entities reached the maximum bracket.

Furthermore, events sponsored or subsidized by the Deputación and the Copa Deputación competitions held at the facilities will be subject to a 100% discount recognized in the event authorization. An appeal for reversal may be filed against the resolution within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Ourense within two months.

The measure represents a direct economic relief for dozens of clubs and social entities in the province, which will be able to maintain their sporting and welfare activities at the Pazo Paco Paz without public pricing costs, benefiting thousands of users and athletes throughout the 2025-2026 season.
