Osona approves the guidelines for winter camps for 130 children
Por FactBox Admin

The Osona Social Services Consortium has approved the regulatory bases and the call for grants, under a competitive bidding process, to participate in the winter camps of December 2026, which offer 130 free places. The text is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona number 211, of November 3, 2026, with the official reference BOP-2026_0_211_9397 and edict number 9397. The approval was formalized through presidency resolution number 2026-500, of October 28, 2026.
The bases are open to the public for a period of 10 business days, under an urgent processing regime, starting from the day after the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The procedure complies with articles 124 and 125 of the Regulation of works, activities, and services of local entities, approved by Decree 179/1995, of June 13. If no allegations are presented during this period, the bases will become final; otherwise, it must be agreed whether they are accepted or not.
The document recalls that the Generalitat de Catalunya allocates funding every year to municipalities and county councils to execute the care service for girls and boys between 0 and 16 years old, and that the Osona County Council transfers this funding to the Osona Social Services Consortium, an entity created in 2004 to provide basic social services to the Osona and Lluçanès region. Winter camps are one of the services included in this area, along with toy libraries, holiday centers, school childcare, and summer camps. The text is signed by the president of the entity, Victòria Terricabras Tarin.
130 places for children born between 2011 and 2016
The call is intended for children and young people born between 2011 and 2016, both inclusive, registered in any municipality of the Osona and Lluçanès region, with the express exception of Vic and Manlleu. The stay will take place from December 28 to 30, 2026, in Planoles and La Molina, completely free of charge.
The distribution of places is as follows:
- Group A (Small): 70 places for those born in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
- Group B (Large): 60 places for those born in 2011, 2012, and 2013.
- Total: 130 places, from December 28 to 30, in Planoles and La Molina.
Applications must be formalized electronically at the consortium’s Electronic Office, through the specific procedure called “Winter camps” in the Procedures Catalog. The pre-registration period opens 10 business days starting from the day after the final publication of the bases in the corresponding gazette.
Draw and priority criteria for families
If the number of applications exceeds the number of available places, the assignment will be made with 50% of the places by lottery and the other 50% according to the prioritization criteria of the Pla Corresponsables Program. The first preferential criterion is the income level of the family unit; once assessed, the following situations will be prioritized:
- Single-parent families.
- Mothers or female guardians who are victims of gender-based violence.
- Children with disabilities or functional diversity.
- Parents or guardians with disabilities.
- Families at risk of social exclusion.
- Asylum seekers or people with refugee status.
- Family units with care responsibilities for dependent persons.
- Mothers or female guardians who are self-employed.
The review of documentation and the lottery will take place during the month of November, once the submission deadline has closed, and the communication of results to the admitted families and those on the reserve list will also take place during November 2026. Applications submitted after the deadline or without complete documentation will be automatically excluded.
Enrollment within five business days and waiting list
Admitted families will have 5 business days from the day after the notification of results to formalize the registration, which is managed by the entity Elements. Those who do not meet the deadline will lose their place, which will then pass to the reserve list.
Vacancies following enrollment will be offered in order of the lottery to the children on the waiting list, with a 24-hour deadline to respond to the offer by email. Failure to attend the camps at the last minute without a justified cause results in the loss of the right to enroll in the camps for the following year. The process will be considered completed on December 28, 2026, before the start of the activities.
The call for applications reaches families in Osona during the full planning period for the Christmas school holidays and does so through a fully electronic and free procedure. For households with fewer resources, the combination of lottery and income and vulnerability criteria becomes the main way to access a leisure service that the consortium describes as having a great tradition in the region.
