Galician public media open a process to hire management personnel

The Corporación de Servizos Audiovisuais de Galicia (CSAG) has made public the call for a selection process for the hiring of professional management personnel. The announcement, signed by the general director María Concepción Pombo Romero, is published in the Diario Oficial de Galicia (DOG) no. 192, of October 8, 2026, in section VI. Announcements. The call opens a period for the submission of applications of five calendar days and refers to the rules published on the entity’s website.

A public commercial company integrating public media

The call itself describes the Corporación de Servizos Audiovisuais de Galicia as an autonomous public commercial company under article 102 of Law 16/2010, of December 17, on the organization and functioning of the general Administration and the autonomous public sector of Galicia. The entity integrates the public audiovisual communication media owned by the Autonomous Community of Galicia that provide the public audiovisual communication service.

The process is covered by article 45 of Law 1/2025, of March 14, on the services of the public audiovisual communication media of Galicia for the digital society. This regulation is what provides for the selection of professional management personnel through a public call.

Five calendar days to submit candidacies

• The period for submitting applications begins the day following the publication of the announcement, that is, October 9, 2026.
• The fixed duration is five (5) calendar days, so the period ends on October 13, 2026.
• The rules of the selection process are available on the Corporation’s website: http://www.csag.gal/.
• All publications and notifications arising as a consequence of the process will be made public on the indicated website.

The Corporation does not specify a determined number of positions nor the concrete profiles of the vacancies in the announcement. The text expressly refers to the rules of the call, available on the web, where the requirements and conditions that applicants must meet are collected.

Competition, merit, and capacity

The selection will be carried out according to the principles of competition, merit, and capacity. To these criteria is added the discretionary assessment of the suitability of the candidates by the competent body, as stated in the announcement.

The procedure, therefore, combines the objective evaluation of merits with the assessment of suitability by the resolving body. The call is public and open to all persons who meet the requirements of the rules.

The call directly affects the government of the Galician public media, as the Corporation is the entity in which the audiovisual media of regional ownership are integrated.
