Oreña puts up for bid the sale of a lot of eucalyptus trees for 18,988 euros

The Oreña Neighborhood Council has opened the bidding process for the disposal of a lot of eucalyptus trees located in the “Cildad” area, with an approximate surface area of 16,881 m² and a starting price of 18,988 euros (excluding VAT). The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria on October 1, 2026, within section 3 of Administrative Contracting, with official reference CVE-2026-7558. The specifications of particular administrative clauses were approved by agreement of the Council in an ordinary session held on September 17, 2026.

The process is handled as an open procedure with a single award criterion: the best price, such that the award will go to the most advantageous economic offer. The announcement was signed in Oreña on September 25, 2026, by the president of the Neighborhood Council, Nieves Díaz Pérez.

The exploitation corresponds to plots 315 and 322 of polygon 13, and the execution period extends until May 31, 2027. Expenses derived from the contract shall be borne by the successful bidder.

Object, surface area, and starting price

• Object: disposal of a lot of eucalyptus trees in “Cildad”, owned by the Oreña Neighborhood Council.
• Approximate surface area: 16,881 m².
• Plots: 315 and 322 of polygon 13.
• Starting price: 18,988.00 euros, excluding VAT.
• Execution period: until May 31, 2027.
• Final guarantee: 10% of the final contract price.

Submission of bids and opening of tenders

Proposals shall be submitted at the premises of the Oreña Neighborhood Council, located on the second floor of the Alfoz de Lloredo Town Hall, from 09:00 to 14:00 hours, during the fifteen business days following the publication of the announcement in the BOC.

The opening of proposals will take place at 12:00 hours on the business day following the end of the submission period, at the same Neighborhood Council premises.

If no bids have been submitted within the initially granted period, a new tender opening act is automatically convened for the tenth business day following the initial opening act, with bids being accepted until 19:00 hours of the immediately preceding business day, with a minimum reduction of 10% of the base bidding price.

Direct award and bidder requirements

In the event that the bidding process is declared void, it shall be so declared by resolution of the Presidency of the Neighborhood Council. From that declaration, and within a maximum period of one year, the direct award of the exploitation may proceed under the same economic and technical conditions.

Bidders must declare under their own responsibility that they are not subject to any of the causes of incompatibility or incapacity provided for in Article 49 of Law 30/2007, of October 31, on Public Sector Contracts, and in Articles 159.b) and 178.2.d) of Organic Law 5/1985, of June 10, on the General Electoral Regime.

The call for tenders opens an opportunity for forestry and timber companies from the region of Alfoz de Lloredo and the rest of Cantabria, who have fifteen business days from the date of publication to submit their economic bids for a lot of eucalyptus spanning nearly 1.7 hectares.
