Ordes abre axudas de 25.000 euros para material escolar

The Local Government Board of the Ordes City Council approved on September 4, 2026, the regulatory bases for the call for school material grants for the 2026-2027 academic year, with a maximum budget of 25,000.00 euros. The call, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 176, on September 15, 2026 (announcement 2026/5939), is aimed at families with minors enrolled in public centers within the municipality.

The grants are awarded on a competitive basis and will be financed from item 326.480.01 of the municipal budgets for the 2026 fiscal year, until the planned credit is exhausted. The submission of the application does not create any right on the part of the applicant.

Who can apply for the grant

Beneficiaries may be families who effectively reside and are registered (empadronadas) in the Ordes City Council, with minors enrolled in public centers within the municipal district during the 2026-2027 academic year in early childhood, primary, or compulsory secondary education, and who are not repeating a grade. General requirements include:

  • Not exceeding the fixed economic income: the sum of the IRPF taxable bases (boxes 435+460) of the family unit, divided by the number of countable members, cannot exceed 10,000.00 euros.
  • That the sum of the cadastral values of urban properties does not exceed 35,000.00 € and those of rural properties 13,000.00 €, excluding the primary residence.
  • Not being a debtor to the Municipal, Regional, or State Treasury, nor to Social Security, and having no pending justification for any grant awarded by the council.

For the calculation of the per capita income, the personal and family situation as of December 31, 2025, and the 2025 fiscal year will be taken into account. In cases of gender violence within the family, the aggressor’s income is excluded from the calculation, and members with a disability equal to or greater than 33% are counted double.

Amounts and evaluation criteria

The amount of the grant varies depending on the family per capita income and the educational stage:

  • Early childhood education: up to 6,000 € income, 90 €; from 6,000 to 10,000 €, 70 €.
  • Primary education and ESO: up to 6,000 €, 50 €; from 6,000 to 10,000 €, 60 €.

For the award, a scale is applied that grants up to 10 points for the per capita income level (up to 6,000 €), up to 4 points for large families (special category), and 4 points for recognized disability. In the event of a tie, families with lower income will be given preference.

How and when to submit the application

Applications shall be submitted to the General Registry of the Ordes City Council (rúa Alfonso Senra, 108, 15680, Ordes) or through any of the means provided for in Article 16 of Law 39/2015, addressed to the mayor-president. The deadline ends on October 16, 2026. Along with the application, among other documentation, the budget for school materials from a commercial establishment within the municipality, the family book, and proof of income for the 2025 fiscal year must be provided.

Payment will be made by means of a voucher for the amount of the aid, exchangeable at participating establishments within the municipal district, which cannot be split and will be valid until December 15, 2026. Bookstores must present the charge slips by December 23, 2026. The resolution will be issued by the Local Government Board within two months from the end of the application period, and the final grant will be published on the municipal website.

This call represents direct support for the families of Ordes for an expense of particular weight at the start of the school year, complementing the regional grants for textbooks and school materials from the Xunta de Galicia. Its processing through competitive bidding and based on income criteria ensures that municipal resources are directed to the family units with the greatest needs.
