Ondara approves the improvement project for Marina Alta Avenue

The Ondara City Council has approved the improvement works project for Marina Alta Avenue, one of the municipality’s main thoroughfares, and has submitted it for public review for twenty days so that residents and affected parties may present objections. The decision was adopted by the Local Government Board in its agreement of August 17, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante number 160, dated August 25, 2026, with reference 6467 and file 2637/2026.

The project was drafted by the Municipal Technical Architect Jorge Ferrer Soriano and incorporates the Technical Specifications Document and the Basic Health and Safety Study, documents that accompany the urban intervention on this main artery of the municipality.

A twenty-day process for objections

The public exhibition is carried out in compliance with Article 93 of Royal Legislative Decree 781/1986, of April 18, which approves the revised text of the legal provisions in force regarding the Local Regime. During the twenty-day period, any interested party may consult the file and formulate objections.

• The project will be available on the electronic headquarters of the Ondara City Council (https://ondara.sedelectronica.es).
• It may also be consulted in person at the Municipal Technical Office, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
• The announcement is published both on the notice board of the electronic headquarters and in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante.

Final approval if no objections are raised

Once the public information process is concluded, and if no objections have been presented, the project will be understood as definitively approved. Otherwise, the objections presented must be resolved before the final approval of the work.

The agreement was digitally signed by the Mayor of Ondara, José Ramiro Pastor, on August 19, 2026. The file also incorporates integrity verification via the SHA-512 algorithm assigned by the EspublicoGestiona platform, which allows for the verification of the authenticity of the technical documentation.

Impact on residents

The improvement of Marina Alta Avenue will directly affect traffic and residents of one of the municipality’s main access roads; therefore, citizen participation during this objection period is key to adjusting the project to real needs. The final approval of the project will open the door to the subsequent bidding and execution of the works, which must respect the technical and safety conditions contained in the file.
