Olot increases grants for cultural activities for 2026 by 7,600 euros
Por FactBox Admin

The Local Governing Board of the Olot City Council agreed on October 29, 2026, to increase by 7,600.00 euros the second call for grants, under a competitive bidding process, for the organization, participation, and development of cultural activities for the year 2026. The summary of the resolution is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona no. 212, of November 4, 2026, with the official reference BOP-2026_0_212_9462 (edict no. 9462), and a new period of 20 business days is opened to apply for the aid. The measure comes after the Plenary approved a budget modification to reinforce the allocation destined for these grants.
The call is governed by the bases published in the BOP no. 34/0 of February 19, 2025, which were definitively approved as no claims were filed during the public exhibition period. The second call had been opened by agreement of the Local Governing Board on July 9, 2026, and the full text of the file can be consulted in the National Grants Database (BDNS) with identification number 938888. The document is published in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17.
An allocation reinforced by the Plenary
The origin of the increase is the agreement of the Olot City Council Plenary on September 24, 2026, which approved a budget modification to increase the allocation of budget application 2026.40011.334.480020, named “Grants for citizen activities.” This allocation is what finances the grants for the organization, participation, and development of cultural activities.
The increase approved on October 29 raises the allocation of the second call by an additional 7,600.00 euros, destined for the same purpose: to support cultural activities organized or participated in by entities and associations of the municipality during 2026.
Deadlines and key figures
The calendar and amounts set by the resolution are as follows:
- Allocation increase: 7,600.00 euros.
- Application period: 20 business days starting from the day after the publication of the increase in the BOP Girona, that is, from November 5, 2026.
- Maximum resolution deadline: three months from the end of the submission period.
- Call identifier: BDNS 938888.
- Signatory of the resolution: the mayor, Agustí Arbós Torrent, on October 29, 2026.
How to submit the application
Applications must be submitted exclusively electronically, through the electronic instance and the standardized forms available on the municipal website www.olot.cat, in the online procedures section for grants to entities under a competitive bidding process. The required documentation is:
- The application and the grant request signed by the legal representative of the entity.
- The certificate of composition of the entity’s Board of Directors.
- The SEPA document, only in the event that the entity’s account number has changed or if it is the first time the grant is being requested.
- Any other documentation that the entity considers necessary to complement the application.
Furthermore, the full terms and conditions can be consulted at the Transparency Portal of the Olot City Council, within the section for contracts, agreements, and grants, as well as in the grants and aid space of the municipal website’s procedures menu.
Effects of administrative silence
The resolution reminds interested parties that the expiration of the maximum term of three months without notification legitimizes the understanding that the application has been rejected due to administrative silence. This is, therefore, a procedure in which the lack of administrative response does not equate to the granting of the aid, but rather to its tacit denial.
The extension directly affects the cultural entities and associations of Olot, which have three effective weeks to formalize the documentation and opt for a budget increased by 7,600 euros. The publication in the official bulletin marks the start of the count and makes this date the mandatory reference for entities wishing to participate in the call.
