Olombrada approves 100% tax bonus for historic vehicles

The Olombrada City Council has provisionally approved the modification of Fiscal Ordinance No. 12 regulating the Mechanical Traction Vehicle Tax (IVTM), with the aim of introducing a 100% tax relief for historic vehicles. The agreement was adopted in an extraordinary session of the Plenary held on August 14, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Segovia, number 100, dated August 21, 2026, page 30 (reference RE-13514).
The measure represents a direct fiscal incentive for owners of classic cars in the municipality, who will be exempt from the full payment of the municipal circulation tax. The initiative is processed in accordance with the provisions of Article 17 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Recast Text of the Local Treasuries Law.
Processing and public exhibition
The file is subject to public information for a period of thirty business days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Segovia. During this period, interested parties may examine the documentation and submit claims, allegations, and suggestions.
- The file will be available at the municipal offices of the Olombrada City Council.
- It can also be consulted on the council’s electronic headquarters (olombrada.sedelectronica.es).
- If no claims are filed after the deadline, the provisional agreement will become final without the need for an express agreement.
- In any case, the full text of the modification of the fiscal ordinance will be published.
Scope of the tax relief
The 100% relief will apply to vehicles that are considered historic, under the terms established by the IVTM regulatory legislation. With this measure, the Segovian council joins the trend of municipalities seeking to protect and promote local automotive heritage.
The announcement is signed by the mayor, Rosa María de Blas Frías, dated August 18, 2026, and is part of the set of agreements adopted by the Olombrada Plenary in its extraordinary session in mid-August, which also included the initial approval of two credit modification files.

The final approval of this relief will provide fiscal relief for owners of historic vehicles registered in Olombrada, who will stop paying the circulation tax.
