Olba presents the municipal tax registers to the public

The Olba City Council has submitted the registers for the municipal taxes on urban solid waste collection, sewerage, and drinking water supply for public exhibition, and has simultaneously announced the opening of the collection period. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel on August 21, 2026, number 159, under reference No. 2026-2481.

The measure, adopted by the Teruel council, allows interested parties to examine the documents and files on the municipal notice board for a period of fifteen days, so that they may file any claims they deem appropriate before the collection period closes.

Registers submitted for exhibition

The registers exhibited to the public correspond to three local taxes that directly affect all taxpayers in the municipality:

• Urban Solid Waste Collection Tax (RSU).
• Sewerage Service Tax.
• Domestic Drinking Water Supply Tax.

During the exhibition period, residents may consult the data of each register and, if applicable, present any claims they consider appropriate to the city council itself.

Opening of the collection period

At the same time as the publication of the exhibition of the registers, the city council announces the opening of the collection period for the three taxes. In this way, taxpayers will be able to settle the payment of the corresponding receipts once the public exhibition process has concluded.

Appeals regime

The announcement details the available means of challenge for those who do not agree with their inclusion in the registers:

• Appeal for reversal (recurso de reposición) before the mayor’s office, within a period of one month starting from the day following the end of the public exhibition of the register or roll.
• Contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court, within a period of two months from the day following the notification of the resolution of the appeal for reversal, if such resolution is express.
• If the dismissal of the appeal for reversal is presumed (silent denial), the period to pursue the contentious-administrative route is extended to six months from the day following that in which the presumed act occurs.

The publication, electronically signed in Olba on the date of signing, is part of the local administration block of the gazette and constitutes a mandatory procedure to guarantee transparency and the right of taxpayers to review their settlements before they become effective.
