Ophthalmology: admitted and excluded candidates for the Riojan Health Service position

The Human Resources Directorate of the Management of the Riojan Health Service has made public the provisional list of persons admitted and excluded from the selective tests for the provision, via the open competition, of vacant positions in the category of Area Specialist Physician in Ophthalmology (code E025). The resolution, signed on August 25, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja number 165, dated August 28, 2026, with reference BOR-A-20260828-II–986.

The process is part of the 2023 public employment offer. The tests were convened by resolution on June 25, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja number 121, dated June 29, and are governed by the general bases approved by resolution on April 30, 2025. The provisional list is displayed on the virtual notice board of the electronic headquarters of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja (www.larioja.org) and, for information purposes, at riojasalud.es/recursos-humanos/selección-y-provisión.

The provisional list of those admitted via the open competition includes five applicants, with no persons excluded from the selection process:

Correction period and procedures

Excluded or omitted persons have a period of ten business days, counting from the day following the publication of the resolution in the gazette, to electronically correct the defect that led to their exclusion or omission. Those who do not correct it within the deadline will be definitively excluded.

The correction must be carried out exclusively via telematics through riojasalud.es/recursos-humanos/selección-y-provisión, using an electronic signature. Those who have paid the examination fee non-telematically and have been excluded for not attaching the proof of payment must send the documentation via this route. Omitted persons who believe they should be listed may file a written claim with the Human Resources Directorate, at the San Pedro Hospital, calle Piqueras 98 in Logroño.

Date and location of the exam

The exercise will take place on December 12, 2026, at 5:00 PM, in the CIBIR Building, located at calle Piqueras 98 in Logroño. All convened persons must attend provided with their national identity document, foreign identification number, or passport.

Examination fees will be refunded to those who are definitively excluded for reasons not attributable to them, upon submission of the corresponding form. This resolution concludes the administrative process, and an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Presidency of the Riojan Health Service within one month, or a challenge may be brought before the contentious-administrative courts within two months. The resolution is signed by the Director of Human Resources, Begoña Lema de Pablo.

The publication of this provisional list represents another step toward covering healthcare specialists in the region, in a field such as ophthalmology with growing healthcare demand. Applicants must remain attentive to the deadlines for correction and the subsequent final list, which will confirm who is summoned to the examination on December 12.
