Odense bankruptcy court opens Nielsens and Nielsens Holding after forced dissolution
Por FactBox Admin

Nielsens & Nielsens Holding ApS has been taken into bankruptcy proceedings by Skifteretten i Odense, which issued the decree on 16 October 2026 following a petition received the day before. The company had already been ordered into compulsory dissolution by Erhvervsstyrelsen on 13 August 2026, and creditors now have four weeks to register their claims with the estate. The decision is published in Statstidende of 20 October 2026 under reference S16102026-205.
The announcement appears in the gazette’s bankruptcy section (Konkursboer) as a formal decree, the instrument by which a Danish bankruptcy court opens an estate and summons creditors. Statstidende is Denmark’s official announcement gazette, issued by Civilstyrelsen under Justitsministeriet, and the decree is one of 20 bankruptcy decrees carried in the same 20 October edition.
The company is registered under CVR-nr. 44866498, with its registered address at Sivlandvænget 3, 5260 Odense S. It entered insolvency through the compulsory route rather than a voluntary winding-up: the Erhvervsstyrelsen decision of 13 August 2026 preceded the bankruptcy petition, which reached the court on 15 October 2026. The case is recorded as Sagsnr. SKS S36-499/2026.
Deadlines set by the decree
The decree fixes two separate windows, both counted from the publication of the announcement:
- Four weeks for any person or company holding a claim against the debtor to register that claim with the estate’s trustee, stated as at 16 October 2026.
- Three weeks for any request that a trustee and a creditors’ committee be elected, which must be submitted in writing to the bankruptcy court.
- Claims should be filed together with documentation supporting them, according to the decree.
Trustee and court
Advokat Stefan Nielsen, John Tranums Vej 23, 6705 Esbjerg Ø, has been appointed trustee (kurator) of the estate. The bankruptcy court is Retten i Odense, and the decree was issued there on 16 October 2026.
The decree records the compulsory-dissolution decision as the background to the bankruptcy but does not state the grounds on which Erhvervsstyrelsen reached it, nor the size of the estate or the number of creditors involved. Those details are not part of the published announcement.
Why the four-week window matters
For suppliers, landlords, former employees and other creditors, the announcement is the starting point of the only period in which a claim can be lodged in the estate. A claim registered after the four-week deadline is not automatically lost, but it is handled on a different footing than claims filed within the window, and the decree explicitly asks creditors to attach documentation for the amount claimed.
The case also illustrates a recurring sequence in the Danish register: a company is compulsorily dissolved by the business authority, and bankruptcy follows once a petition is filed with the local court. For anyone who has invoiced Nielsens & Nielsens Holding ApS or holds an unsettled contract with it, the practical step is a written claim to Advokat Stefan Nielsen in Esbjerg, quantified as at 16 October 2026 and supported by invoices, contracts or other proof.
