Odèn approves the guidelines for subsidizing extracurricular activities and baccalaureate transport
Por FactBox Admin

The Plenary of the Odèn City Council approved on October 21, 2026, the regulatory bases and the call for grants to promote participation in extracurricular activities and non-compulsory education transport during the 2025-2026 academic year. The aid amounts to a maximum of 150 euros per year per child and can be requested until November 20, 2026. The text is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lleida number 206, dated October 28, 2026, with the reference CVE BOP-2026_0_206_8885.
The approval is framed within article 124.2 of the Regulation of works, activities, and services of local entities, approved by Decree 179/1995, of June 13. The bases are subject to public information for a period of 20 business days from the day following the publication of the announcement in the provincial gazette; if no claim or allegation is presented, the agreement approving the bases and the call will automatically become definitive.
The council has sufficient credit in item 480.00/23 of the current 2026 budget to attend to the requests formulated and justified within the deadline. The granting of the aid does not generate any type of liability for the Odèn City Council.
Extracurricular fees and transport up to 4th year of ESO
The purpose of the call is to finance the monthly or quarterly fees derived from the actual performance of extracurricular activities during the 2025-2026 academic year, as well as transport to attend non-compulsory education centers. The eligible concepts are:
- Extracurricular activity fees for children enrolled in regulated studies up to and including the 4th year of ESO.
- Transport from the municipality of Odèn to the school center for baccalaureate students using their own means.
- A maximum amount of 150 euros per year per child, VAT included.
- The eligible period corresponds to the 2025-2026 school year.
In cases where an amount lower than the stipulated one is justified, the grant will be awarded only for the amount actually justified. The bases also establish that advance payments or payments on account cannot be made.
Census registration and other requirements
Beneficiaries may be family units or natural persons registered in Odèn on the day of the approval of the bases who have children enrolled in extracurricular activities or baccalaureate students who travel by their own means. The following conditions must be met:
- Be studying up to 4th year of ESO and be enrolled in extracurricular activities during the academic year of the call, or be studying baccalaureate and provide proof of transport from Odèn to the educational center.
- That the minor and one of the parents or guardians of the family unit be registered as residents in the municipality throughout the subsidizable period.
- Be up to date with tax obligations to the Odèn City Council.
- Not incur any of the causes that prevent obtaining the status of beneficiary according to article 13.2 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general law on subsidies.
Due to the social and educational nature of the grants and their purpose of promoting equal opportunities in childhood, the rules exempt applicants from proving that they are up to date with obligations to the Public Treasury and Social Security. Furthermore, other grants may be received as long as 100% of the cost is not exceeded.
Application, justification and resolution
Forms can be collected at the Odèn City Council office during office hours and are available on the municipal website, www.oden.cat. The application, according to the standardized model, is submitted at the office with the original ID or a certified photocopy, or via the electronic office. Only one application per child can be submitted for the same period.
The deadline to apply for the grant runs from the publication of the call in the official bulletin until November 20, 2026. If any deficiency is detected or documentation is missing, the city council will notify the interested person so that it can be corrected within 10 days; if they do not, it will be understood that they waive the request.
The justification of expenses not submitted with the application also has a deadline of November 20, 2026, and is preferably done with invoices or, failing that, with bank charges or receipts in the name of the beneficiary or their parents or legal guardians. Payment is made by transfer. The Plenary must resolve the procedure with justification within a maximum period of six months; if the resolution is not notified, the application is understood to be rejected by administrative silence, with notification on the notice board and in the electronic office. The document is signed by Mayor Albert Solé i Casals on October 22, 2026.
The call arrives when the 2025-2026 academic year has already ended, meaning that families must have advanced the payment of fees and transport and can now recover a part of it. With a ceiling of 150 euros per child and a deadline of just over three weeks, the calendar forces families registered in Odèn to gather invoices and receipts before November 20 in order not to lose the grant.
