Public Works tenders consultancy for the fiscal inspection of the Hospital del Salvador

The General Directorate of Public Works Concessions of the Ministry of Public Works has called for a digital public tender for the advisory services to the fiscal inspection of the conceded operation of the Hospital del Salvador and the National Institute of Geriatrics, with an official budget of $4,560,000,000 and an execution period of 30 months. The notice is published in Section IV of the Official Gazette of the Republic of Chile, No. 44,564, dated Friday, October 2, 2026, with official reference CVE 2879825.

The call is channeled through the platform www.mercadopublico.cl and corresponds to the consultancy titled “Advisory to the fiscal inspection for the operation of the conceded work: Hospital del Salvador and National Institute of Geriatrics,” identified by code SAFI 438736 and Mercado Público ID 2216-29-O126. The tender is financed by Sectoral Funds, and the background documents must be downloaded from the public procurement portal starting from the date of the notice publication.

The contract will be entered into under the Unit Prices modality, in Chilean pesos and with price adjustment. The call is aimed at consulting firms specialized in the inspection of conceded works, a segment in which the MOP concentrates the supervision of hospital infrastructure delivered under concession.

Requirements: Consultants Registry and First Superior category

Only bidders registered in the MOP Consultants Registry who prove the following conditions may participate:

• Area 7 Inspections.
• Specialty 7.3 Building Works.
• Category First Superior.

The participation of consortia will be accepted, provided that each member is registered in the Consultants Registry and that, together, the consortium meets the required areas, specialties, and categories.

Budget, term, and financing

• Official budget: $4,560,000,000 (four billion five hundred and sixty million pesos), VAT included.
• Execution period: 30 months.
• Contract type: Unit Prices, in Chilean pesos and with price adjustment.
• Financing: Sectoral Funds.

Process calendar

• Inquiries: three (3) business days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette.
• Responses: as stated in “Stages and deadlines” of the Mercado Público portal.
• Closing for receipt of technical and economic bids: on the sixteenth business day counted from the full processing of the resolution approving the response circular, at 10:00 AM.
• Opening of technical bids: one hour after closing, at 11:00 AM.
• Opening of economic bids: the business day following the expiration of the deadline to file observations or claims regarding the technical evaluation report, at 11:00 AM.

The process remains open from the publication of the notice, and its schedule is activated with the processing of the response circular; therefore, the effective period for preparing bids depends on that milestone. For consulting firms registered in the Consultants Registry, the call for bids represents a contract of nearly four years in duration and a significant amount within the market for the fiscal inspection of hospital concessions.
