The Lugo Consortium corrects errors in the list for 37 firefighter positions

The Provincial Consortium of Lugo for the Provision of Fire and Rescue Services has approved the correction of material errors in the final list of admitted and excluded applicants for the selection and provision process by competitive examination for 37 firefighter-driver positions. The resolution of the Presidency, dated August 12, 2026, was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 190, on Friday, August 21, 2026, under reference R. 2241.

The original final lists had been approved by resolution on July 22, 2026, and published in the BOP of Lugo no. 172, on July 30, 2026. Subsequently, the Consortium detected several manifest material and factual errors in the list, which are now being rectified ex officio.

Detected errors and corrections

The resolution identifies five types of errors: the duplication of a registration, the incorrect designation of the position of a member of the Tribunal, the incorrect transcription of the names of some applicants, the exclusion of an applicant who had submitted the amendment documentation within the deadline, and the non-inclusion of an applicant in the list of those required to take the Galician language test.

• Automatic addition to the list of admitted applicants and removal from the excluded list: Gutiérrez Cosio, Guillermo (DNI *7615).
• Correction of identities in the list of admitted applicants:
  • Ferreiro Seguin, Fernando becomes Ferreiro Seguin, Javier (DNI *4199).
  • Olivieira de Alba, Joao Manuel becomes Oliveira de Alba, Joao Manuel (DNI *3057).
• Inclusion in the list of “Applicants required to take the Galician language test”: Parada Fernández, Isidro (DNI *8183).
• Removal due to duplication in the list of admitted applicants of the second entry for López García, Diego (DNI *4394, order number 167).

Correction in the Qualifying Tribunal

The resolution also amends the error in the appointment of the position of one of the members of the Qualifying Tribunal:

• Where it said: María Elena Torrón Carricoba, General Administration Technician of the Contracting and Promotion Service of the Provincial Deputation of Lugo.
• It should say: María Elena Torrón Carricoba, Economist of the Contracting and Promotion Service of the Provincial Deputation of Lugo.

Legal framework

The rectification is based on Article 109.2 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, which allows administrations to rectify at any time, ex officio or at the request of the interested parties, material, factual, or arithmetic errors existing in their acts. The Presidency acts in use of the powers conferred by Article 14 of the Statutes of the Provincial Consortium of Lugo.

The resolution, signed by the secretary auditor José Antonio Mourelle Cillero, orders its publication in the BOP of Lugo, on the Consortium’s notice board, and on its corporate website.

The correction has a direct impact on the affected applicants, who see their situation regularized in the selection process, whether through their incorporation into the list of admitted candidates, the rectification of their personal data, or their inclusion among those required to prove proficiency in Galician. For the remaining applicants, the resolution guarantees the transparency and legal certainty of a process affecting 37 firefighter-driver positions for the provincial fire service.
