O Carballiño appoints Beatriz Viteri as a trainee Local Police officer

The Carballiño City Council has appointed Beatriz Viteri Bouso as a civil servant trainee in the basic scale, officer category of the Local Police corps, effective September 7, 2026. The decision was adopted through the Resolution of the Personnel Department dated September 1, 2026, issued in file 4477/2025, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on September 14, 2026.

The appointment is made in accordance with the provisions of clause 11.2 of the Order of October 24, 2025, which approves the general regulatory bases and announces the selective process for access via internal promotion (procedure code PR461C) in the Local Police of Galicia corps, basic scale, officer category. The resolution was signed by the delegated councilor for Personnel, Alberto Otero Carneiro.

Trainee Appointment

The appointed person will remain in the status of civil servant trainee from the start of the selective course until their appointment as a career civil servant or, if applicable, their exclusion from the selective process, under the terms established in the call’s bases and the applicable regulations.

The appointment is made prior to the start of the selective training course convened by the Galician Academy of Public Security through the Resolution of May 6, 2026.

250-hour Selective Course

The selective course will have a duration of 250 teaching hours and will take place from September 7 to October 23, 2026, in a blended learning format, in accordance with the provisions of the Resolution of May 6, 2026, of the Galician Academy of Public Security.

The incorporation of a new trainee officer strengthens the structure of the Carballiño Local Police corps, in an internal promotion process that allows for the consolidation of the professional careers of the municipality’s officers. The completion of the selective course in October will determine her appointment as a career civil servant, with the consequent impact on local security and citizen services.
