The Electoral Census Office published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on October 12, 2026, the list of electoral sections, their boundaries, the voting locations, and the corresponding polling stations for each of them for the General Courts elections on November 29, 2026. The announcement, issued by the Provincial Delegation of Ourense in section II, General State Administration, affects the entire electorate of the province and opens a six-day period to file claims against the delimitation carried out.
The publication responds to the mandate of article 24.2 of Organic Law 5/1985, of June 19, on the general electoral regime, modified by Organic Law 3/1995, of March 23. The text details, municipality by municipality, the streets and population centers that make up each section, the electoral location with its full address, and the distribution of voters among the polling stations according to the initial of the first surname. It is a document of more than 40,000 lines that covers the 92 municipalities of the province, from Allariz to Vilariño de Conso.
The figures in the announcement summarize the scale of the electoral operation:
- 92 listed municipalities.
- 431 delimited electoral sections.
- 434 enabled electoral locations.
- 523 polling stations.
Delimitation of sections and polling stations
Each section appears identified by district, section, and subsection, along with the list of streets, squares, paths, crossings, and population centers it comprises. When a single street is divided among several polling stations, the document specifies the door numbers included in each segment, so that each voter can unambiguously locate the point that corresponds to them.
The distribution of voters is done by the initial of the first surname. In section 001 of Allariz, for example, table A collects surnames between A and K and table B those between L and Z. In other municipalities, single letters (A, B, C, D, or U) are used when only one table exists or when the section is divided into numbered subsections.
Voting locations
The document identifies each electoral location with its name and full address, including the postal code and municipality. Among the enabled spaces are school centers, town halls, social centers, multipurpose rooms, former schools, health centers, and sports facilities.
- I.E.S. de Allariz, at rúa Emilia Pardo Bazán 33, in Allariz.
- Colexio Público San Martiño, at lugar A Faceira 11, in Vilariño de Conso.
- Town Hall, Social Center, Multipurpose Room, Former School, and Sports Pavilion, among other facilities distributed across the province.
Period for claims
In accordance with article 24.3 of the same organic law, electors have six days from the publication —from October 13 to 18— to file claims against the delimitation before the Provincial Electoral Board, which will issue a final ruling on them within a period of five days.
The announcement closes with the registration reference R. 2.431 and bears the signature of the Electoral Census Office of the Provincial Delegation of Ourense.
Knowing the assigned section, polling station, and table is essential for any elector who wishes to vote on November 29, and the open period is the only way to correct errors in the delimitation before the elections.
