Oña formalizes a 115,000 euro ten-year loan with Ibercaja

The Oña City Council has awarded Ibercaja Banco, S.A. a long-term credit operation for a total amount of 115,000.00 euros, with an amortization period of ten years. The contract was formalized on August 25, 2026, and the announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos no. 184, dated September 28, 2026, with official reference BOPBUR-2026-03975.

The publication is carried out in compliance with Article 154 of Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts, which requires the publication of the award of public sector contracts. The file processed by the Council is financial in nature and its project is titled “credit operation agreement,” which places the operation within the scope of municipal financing and not within that of the contracting of works or services.

Once the public exhibition period ended without claims, the approval became final and its extracted content was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos no. 181, dated September 23, 2026, reference BOPBUR-2026-03948. The breakdown is as follows:

Processing and appeals

An administrative appeal may be filed against the final approval of the credit modification before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Castilla y León within two months, in accordance with the consolidated text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries.

The operation is thus framed within a complete administrative sequence: plenary approval of the credit modification file, public exhibition, elevation to final approval and, in parallel, the award and formalization of the financial contract with the banking entity.

Impact on local accounts

The arrangement of this ten-year loan commits the accounts of the Oña City Council over the next decade and increases its level of indebtedness, although the amount is moderate in absolute terms.
