Numancia de la Sagra approves extraordinary credit of 551,000 euros

The City Council of Numancia de la Sagra has definitively approved the credit modification file No. 1539/2026 of the current budget, in the form of extraordinary credit and credit supplement, for a total amount of 551,000 euros. The measure, financed from the treasury surplus for general expenses, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo number 171, dated September 8, 2026, as no allegations were presented during the public exhibition process.
The agreement, signed by Mayor Juan Carlos Sánchez Trujillo on September 7, 2026, is disseminated for the purposes of article 169.1, by referral of 179.4, of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5.
A modification financed with surplus
The operation is based on the treasury surplus for general expenses, which goes from an initial forecast of 0 euros to a final amount of 760,917.76 euros, with a credit modification of 551,000 euros. In the expenditure chapter, the modification increases the total of the affected applications from the initial 801,845.10 euros to the final 1,107,376.11 euros.
The funds are distributed among various items of the municipal budget, with particular weight on social services, culture, sports, and infrastructure maintenance.
Destination of funds
The additions to expenditure applications are concentrated in several programs and concepts:
- Civil protection (1532): other work performed by other companies (€80,000) and other infrastructure replacement investments (€202,741).
- Security and mobility (338): social security (€10,000), leasing of tangible fixed assets (€58,113.70), other supplies (€2,000), insurance premiums (€8,500), other miscellaneous expenses (€108,000), and food products (€6,000).
- Culture and sports (334 and 341): cultural and sporting activities (€50,000 and €50,174.50) and other work performed by other companies (€30,000).
- Health (311): other work performed by other companies (€22,000).
- Social services (323): machinery, technical installations, and tooling (€24,490.40).
Deadlines and appeals
An administrative appeal may be filed against the agreement before the Administrative Litigation Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Castilla-La Mancha, based in Albacete, within two months from the publication of the announcement, in accordance with article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, of the Administrative Litigation Jurisdiction. The filing of the appeal shall not, by itself, suspend the effectiveness of the contested agreement, according to article 171.3 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries.
The final approval of this budget modification allows the town council of Numancia de la Sagra to allocate resources to essential services and the replacement of infrastructure, strengthening the municipal spending capacity without resorting to new debt, as it is fully financed by the accumulated treasury surplus.
