The appointment was published in the Official Gazette La Gaceta No. 199 on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, within the agreements of the Ministry of Justice and Peace, and takes effect from its publication.

The agreement was signed at the Presidency of the Republic on July 27, 2026, and bears the signatures of Alexander Astorga Monge on behalf of the President of the Republic, Laura Fernández Delgado, and Sandra Rodríguez Chaves on behalf of the Minister of Justice and Peace, Gabriel Aguilar Vargas. The text invokes articles 140 paragraphs 3) and 18) and 146 of the Political Constitution, article 11 of Law No. 5338, the Foundations Law of August 28, 1973, and Executive Decree No. 36363-JP, the regulation of said article issued on November 5, 2010.
