Appointment of seven Radiodiagnosis specialists in the Valencian healthcare system

The General Directorate of Personnel of the Department of Health has agreed upon the appointment as permanent statutory staff, specifying the chosen destination, of the individuals approved in the selection process to fill vacant basic positions with specific characteristics in the category and specialty of Radiodiagnostic specialist physician. The resolution, signed on September 3, 2026, by the Director General of Personnel, María Amparo Pinazo Gamir, is published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana number 10447, of September 9, 2026, with reference DOGV-C-2026-28443.
The appointment is issued in accordance with base 13 of the call for the merit competition published in DOGV 10290, of January 28, 2026, and following the process for allegations and waivers opened by the provisional award resolution of July 16, 2026. The assignment of the destination is definitive.
Assumption of office and requirements
The period for assuming office shall be one month and will begin on September 15, 2026. Anyone who does not join the assigned center within that period will lose the rights derived from their participation in the selection process, except in cases of force majeure or impossibility assessed by the competent body in personnel matters.
At the time of assuming office before the corresponding Health Department, the appointed individuals must prove that they meet all general and specific requirements and provide the original negative certification from the Central Registry of Sexual Offenders, pursuant to article 57.1 of Organic Law 8/2021, for the comprehensive protection of children and adolescents against violence.
Assigned destinations
The seven appointed physicians are joining centers of the València Health Department, with the following destinations:
- María del Rosario Pérez Martínez — Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe (abdominopelvic oncological surgery).
- Daniel Iván Sánchez Mateos — Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe (childhood sarcomas).
- Carlos Ignacio Piñana Plaza — Hospital Clínico Universitario de València (acute phase stroke).
- María Montserrat Simonet Redondo — Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe (sarcomas and musculoskeletal tumors in adults).
- Fernando Gómez Muñoz — Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe (childhood sarcomas).
- José Carlos Rayón Aledo — Hospital La Malva-Rosa (acute phase stroke).
- Paloma Martínez Sebastiá — Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe (rare neuromuscular diseases).
In centers where several vacancies have been offered, these will be filled as the appointed individuals join, respecting the order established by the termination criteria of Decree 192/2017, of December 1, of the Consell.
Appeals
This resolution exhausts all administrative remedies. An optional motion for reconsideration may be filed within one month before the same body, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed directly before the competent jurisdictional body within two months, in accordance with Law 39/2015 and Law 29/1998.
With this resolution, the Department of Health consolidates the radiodiagnosis staff in the hospitals of València, filling positions with specific characteristics that require accredited experience in areas such as oncology, stroke, or neuromuscular diseases, which strengthens the healthcare capacity of the Valencian Health System in high-demand specialties.
