Presidents of the fourteen Chambers of Commerce of Castilla y León appointed

The General Directorate of Trade and Consumption of the Regional Ministry of Industry, Universities, Employment and Trade has made public the appointments of the presidents, the members and officers of the executive committees, and the members of the plenums of the fourteen Official Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Services of Castilla y León. The publication is carried out through the Resolution of September 3, 2026, collected in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León number 175, of September 9, 2026 (official reference BOCYL-D-09092026-175-5).

The process began with the Resolution of May 5, 2026 (BOCYL number 87, of May 11, 2026), which called for elections to renew the governing bodies of the chambers. Once the new plenums were constituted and the presidents and executive committees were elected, the resolution publicizes the results, in accordance with article 28.4 of Decree 12/2015, of February 12, which regulates the composition of the governing bodies and the election procedure for their members. The regulatory framework is completed by Law 4/2014, of April 1, the basic law of the chambers, and Law 8/2018, of December 14, which regulates the chambers of Castilla y León and its Council. The resolution, signed by the director general Elena León Hernández, takes effect from the day of its publication.

The new presidents

The constitutive sessions of the plenums were held between July 8 and 24, 2026, and in them, the presidents of the fourteen corporations were elected:

• Béjar: Buenaventura Velasco Gutiérrez
• Briviesca: José Sagredo Manzanedo

• Miranda de Ebro: José Gerardo Martínez Pérez
• Palencia: Conrado Merino Inyesto
• Salamanca: Alberto Díaz San Miguel
• Segovia: María José Tapia García
• Soria: Alberto Santamaría Calvo
• Valladolid: Víctor A. Caramanzana Rey
• Zamora: Enrique Oliveira Román

Executive committees and plenums

Each chamber also renews its executive committee, with vice-presidencies, treasuries, and members. Notable positions include, for example, in Burgos, where Antonio Miguel Méndez Pozo presides with three vice-presidencies and the treasury managed by Pablo Ruiz Ferreiro; or in León, whose committee has three vice-presidents and six members under the presidency of Javier Joaquín Vega Corrales. In Valladolid, Víctor A. Caramanzana Rey heads a committee with two vice-presidents and five members.

The plenums are completed by the members elected in their own name or representing companies and institutions. The composition reflects the regional productive fabric, with the presence of large groups and local SMEs:

• Burgos: Michelin España Portugal, Campofrío Food Group, Grupo Antolín Ingeniería, Bridgestone Hispania, El Corte Inglés, or Caja de Burgos Fundación Bancaria.
• León: El Corte Inglés, Unicaja Banco, Banco Sabadell, Votorantim Cementos España, or Diario de León.
• Valladolid: Michelin España Portugal, Renault España, El Corte Inglés, Iberaval, or Dulces y Conservas Helios.
• Salamanca: Unicaja Banco and Transnano.
• Soria: Copiso Soria, Ficosa Automotive, or Mubea Iberia.

Institutional Representation

The renewal of the governing bodies of the chambers—public law entities that act as advisory bodies and representatives of the general interests of commerce, industry, and services—strengthens the dialogue between the business fabric and the administrations. The new plenums and executive committees are established for the mandate beginning after the 2026 electoral process, with a view toward the economic revitalization of the nine provinces and the smaller local chambers.

The resolution, which received no objections, closes the electoral cycle and grants full operational capacity to the community’s fourteen chamber corporations, which are key pieces in the promotion of foreign trade, business training, and support for SMEs.
