90 forest rangers appointed as career civil servants in the Community of Madrid

The Community of Madrid has appointed 90 candidates as career civil servants of the Forestry Agents Corps, Operational Scale, Forestry Agent Category, Special Administration, Group C, Subgroup C1. The appointment is formalized by the Order of September 15, 2026, of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, published in the OFFICIAL GAZETTE OF THE COMMUNITY OF MADRID number 231, of September 28, 2026, with reference BOCM-20260928-5. The new civil servants are assigned to the Madrid 112 Security and Emergencies Agency.

The order closes the selection process resolved by the Resolution of July 29, 2026, of the General Directorate of Public Service (published in the BOCM of August 10), which declared the process convened by Order 293/2022, of February 15 (BOCM of March 1) as completed, the number of positions for which was expanded by Order 2880/2022, of December 8 (BOCM of December 22).

The text is issued under the Eleventh clause of the call, Order 290/2018, of June 27, on the general bases of selection processes, Law 1/1986, of April 10, on the Public Service of the Community of Madrid, and Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, of the Basic Statute of Public Employees. The signature corresponds to the Director General of Human Resources, María Belén Anaut Escudero, by delegation of the regional minister (Order of April 17, 2024).

Taking office on September 29

Those appointed must take an oath or promise and take office within one month from the day following the publication of the order, in accordance with Law 1/1986 and Royal Decree 707/1979, of April 5. The collective appointment has been set for September 29, 2026, at Manuel Cortina street number 2, 2nd floor, 28010 Madrid, in time slots according to the order number:

• 09:00 hours: numbers 1 to 25.
• 09:30 hours: numbers 26 to 50.
• 10:00 hours: numbers 51 to 75.
• 10:30 hours: numbers 76 to 90.

Those who do not appear may take office at the General Directorate of Human Resources (Manuel Cortina 2, 3rd floor) within that month, with a prior appointment requested at situacionesadministrativa@madrid.org; the date of economic and administrative effect will be the date of the actual taking of office. The candidates cease their status as trainee civil servants upon taking office as career civil servants.

The 90 appointees, assigned to Madrid 112

The annex lists the candidates according to the score obtained and assigns a workstation to each, all of them within the Madrid 112 Security and Emergencies Agency. Heading the list are:

• Miguel Gómez Alba (position 94610).
• Álvaro Sarro Fuente (94625).
• David Osunde Holguín (94626).
• David Losada San Román (94613).
• Natalia Pleite Guzmán (94627).

The list closes with Álvaro Rodríguez Corral (94689), at order number 90. The awarded positions range from 94610 to 94700.

Deadlines and appeals

The order concludes the administrative process. The following may be filed against it:

• An optional appeal for reversal (recurso potestativo de reposición) before the Regional Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, within a period of one month.
• A contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Madrid, within a period of two months.

Both deadlines are counted from the day following the publication in the BOCM, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, and article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13.

The incorporation of 90 forestry agents reinforces the region’s environmental surveillance staff and provides stability to a body key to fire prevention and extinction, forest protection, and the surveillance of public domain. For the candidates, the publication represents the definitive step from trainee civil servant to career civil servant, with a possession schedule that begins tomorrow.
