Por FactBox Admin

The Plenary of the Nigrán City Council initially approved, in the ordinary session of October 6, 2026, the credit modification file no. 19-2026, which incorporates 2,885,565.08 euros into the 2026 general budget. The operation is broken down into 2,229,370.09 euros of extraordinary credit and 656,194.99 euros of credit supplement. The announcement was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Pontevedra (BOPPO) no. 194, on October 8, 2026, with the official reference 2026072221, and opens a fifteen-day period for submitting allegations.
Extraordinary credit and credit supplement
The file, processed under number 5870/2026, is structured into two budgetary figures totaling nearly 2.9 million euros, which are incorporated into the current general budget for the 2026 financial year. The initial approval corresponded to the municipal Plenary, which gave the green light to the file in its ordinary session on October 6, 2026.
- Extraordinary credit: 2,229,370.09 euros.
- Credit supplement: 656,194.99 euros.
- Total amount of the modification: 2,885,565.08 euros.
- Administrative file: no. 19-2026 (reference 5870/2026).
Financing with the treasury surplus
The credit modification is financed from the Treasury Surplus for General Expenses derived from the liquidation of the 2025 financial year. In this way, the City Council does not resort to new debt, but instead uses the liquid surpluses resulting from the closing of the previous financial year to cover the new allocations.
The operation is registered under local treasury regulations, which require this type of file to be subject to public exhibition before its final approval. The announcement expressly includes the reference to articles 169.1 and 177.2 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5.
Fifteen days of public information
Complying with the aforementioned legal framework, the file is subject to public information for a period of fifteen days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Pontevedra. During this period, interested parties may consult the documentation and formulate the allegations they deem appropriate.
- Period: fifteen days from the day following the publication in the BOPPO.
- Exhibition: Notice Board of the Corporation and/or Notice Board of the City Council’s Electronic Office.
- Consultation of the file: Transparency portal of the municipal electronic office (https://nigran.sedelectronica.gal).
- Effect: if no claims are presented within the indicated period, the agreement will be considered final.
The announcement is signed by the mayor of Nigrán, Juan A. González Pérez, and incorporates the secure verification code VBP2BCK4VRG95AX7 to certify the integrity of the document.
The credit expansion provides the City Council with the margin to address investments and expenses not initially foreseen in the 2026 budget without resorting to bank loans, relying on the remnants of the 2025 liquidation. For residents and local entities, the fifteen-day period is the only window to review the destination of the funds and present objections before the agreement is definitively fixed.
