Nerpio approves five municipal ordinances on traffic, fees, and services.

The Plenary of the Municipal Corporation of the Nerpio City Council initially approved, at the ordinary session held on August 1, 2026, five municipal regulations affecting traffic, the cemetery, the children’s school, tourist services and the occupation of the public thoroughfare by supply companies. The agreements are published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Albacete, number 94, of Friday, August 14, 2026, in the third section. Local Administration, pages 8 to 12. Residents, companies and interested entities may examine the files and submit objections within thirty working days.

The five announcements are processed in accordance with articles 17 and 18 of Royal Decree 2/2004, of March 5, approving the consolidated text of the Law Regulating Local Finances, and are signed by the mayor, José Antonio Gómez Moreno, on August 3, 2026. Most of the regulations are fiscal in nature and regulate fees and public prices, so their content will directly affect the pockets of Nerpio taxpayers once they enter into force.

Five regulations on public display

The five announcements published in the provincial bulletin correspond to the following plenary agreements:

• Municipal traffic ordinance (reference 21.201, p. 9).
• Modification of the fiscal ordinance regulating the fee for the provision of the Children’s School Service (CAI) (reference 21.196, p. 8).
• Fiscal ordinance regulating the fee for the municipal cemetery of Nerpio (reference 21.205, p. 10).
• Fiscal ordinance regulating the public price for the provision of tourist services and access to the municipality’s tourist resources (reference 21.209, p. 11).
• Fiscal ordinance regulating the fee for the private use or special use of the surface, subsoil or airspace of municipal public thoroughfares in favor of companies operating supply services (reference 21.210, p. 12).

A fiscal package of everyday impact

Four of the five initially approved regulations are of a tax nature. The cemetery ordinance and the modification of the children’s school (CAI) fee affect basic services directly used by families in the municipality, while the tourist public price will impose charges on the provision of services and access to the tourist resources of Nerpio, one of the main hubs of nature and rural tourism in the Sierra del Segura region. The supply ordinance, for its part, regulates the occupation of the municipal public domain by companies operating water, electricity, gas or telecommunications services, the fee for which is calculated on the basis of the special use of the surface, subsoil or airspace of the streets.

The traffic ordinance, the only non-fiscal one in the package, will regulate circulation, parking and signage in the urban area of Nerpio, a matter of daily coexistence for residents and visitors.

Thirty days to submit objections

The claims period, of thirty working days, is counted from the day following the insertion of the announcements in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Albacete, that is, from August 15, 2026. During that period, interested parties referred to in Article 18 of Royal Decree 2/2004 may examine the file and submit the claims they deem appropriate. In accordance with Article 17.3 of the same regulation, if no objections are submitted against the provisional agreement after the period has elapsed, it will be understood to be definitively approved without the need for a new plenary vote.

The joint approval of these five regulations constitutes an orderly update of Nerpio’s regulatory and tax framework in a single plenary act. For residents, the result will foreseeably be a change in the fees for everyday services such as the nursery school or the cemetery, a clearer regulation of urban traffic, and a new source of income linked to supplies and tourism, in a municipality whose economy depends largely on rural activity and visitors.
