Navia de Suarna announces three vacancies under the Employment Reinforcement program

The City Council of Navia de Suarna announces three selection processes by competitive examination to fill one position as an administrative assistant, one as a driver-laborer, and one as a tractor driver, under the “Employment Reinforcement 2026” program of the Excma. Provincial Deputation of Lugo. The call was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo number 196, on Friday, August 28, 2026, and interested persons have a period of five business days to submit their application.

The announcement, signed on August 21, 2026, by the mayor, José Fernández Fernández, establishes the selection system as a competitive examination, according to the rules that can be consulted on the municipal notice board of the council, on its electronic office, and on the website of the Provincial Deputation of Lugo.

The three announced positions

The call covers three different professional profiles, with different conditions and contract durations:

• Administrative assistant: 1 position, as an interim civil servant with a duration of 12 months.
• Driver-laborer: 1 position, with a temporary employment contract and a duration of 6 months.
• Tractor driver: 1 position, with a temporary employment contract and a duration of 6 months.

How and where to submit applications

Applications shall be addressed to the Mayor and submitted at the General Registry of the City Council of Navia de Suarna or through the forms established in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

In the event that the application is submitted to a registry other than that of the council, a copy of the application must be sent in advance by email within the submission period to the address concello.naviadesuarna@eidolocal.es. The deadline is five (5) business days counting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP of Lugo.

Reserve list

The call provides for the creation of reserve lists to ensure the filling of positions in case of withdrawals by selected candidates or any other circumstance before the formalization of the contract, as well as to cover any vacancies that may occur during the duration of the contracts.

This initiative represents a direct employment opportunity for the residents of Navia de Suarna, a rural municipality in the mountains of Lugo, and is part of the Deputation of Lugo’s effort to reinforce employment in the municipalities of the province.
