Por FactBox Admin

The Navarrevisca City Council has opened a public tender for the disposal of timber harvesting rights for the Public Utility Mountain No. 46, “La Dehesa”, through an open procedure with price as the award criterion. The tender, corresponding to ordinary lot AV-MAD-0255-2026, is announced in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ávila number 160, dated August 20, 2026, under file number 84/2026.

The decision stems from the Plenary of the City Council, the contracting body, which has approved the technical, economic-administrative, and specific conditions for the disposal. The specifications are available for public review at the municipal Secretariat for eight business days for the purpose of claims, and the open procedure for its execution is simultaneously announced.

Object and characteristics of the lot

The contract consists of an improvement cut of standing timber over an operational area of 16.20 hectares covering the entire mountain, which is municipally owned. The technical data for the harvesting are as follows:

  • Total volume of wood: 1,111.50 m³ with bark.
  • Total number of stems: 2,021.
  • Type of cut: improvement cut, ordinary harvesting of the 2026 Annual Harvesting Plan.
  • Form of harvesting: standing timber, at the risk and venture of the successful bidder.
  • Execution period: 12 calendar months from the award, with a non-working period from July 1 to September 15.

Prices and guarantees

The minimum disposal price is set at €17,784.00, with a VAT of 21%, while the index value amounts to €22,230.00. To this are added other expenses that the bidder must assume:

  • Optional operation expenses: €1,010.50.
  • Cutting residue destruction expenses: €5,001.75.

The provisional guarantee is waived, although a definitive and complementary guarantee of 7% of the award value is required. The selection criterion will be the highest price starting from the base value, without the City Council being obliged to contract if the index value is not met.

Deadlines and submission of bids

Proposals shall be submitted to the municipal Secretariat during office hours within twenty calendar days from the day following the publication of the announcement in the provincial gazette. If the last day coincides with a Saturday, it will be moved to the next business day, with bids accepted until thirteen o’clock on that day. Each bidder may only submit a single bid per lot.

The opening of bids will take place in the session hall of the Town Hall within ten days from the end of the submission period, in a public act. The administrative conditions and technical specifications are available on the Electronic Office of the Navarrevisca City Council, in its contractor profile.

The tender, signed by Mayor Leticia Sánchez del Río on August 11, 2026, opens an opportunity for the region’s loggers and reinforces the sustainable forest management of a municipal public forest, the income from which reverts to the City Council itself.
