Navarra appoints twelve area specialist physicians in three specialties

Por FactBox Admin

The Official Gazette of Navarra number 170, dated August 28, 2026, publishes in its section on cessations, appointments, and other situations the incorporation of 12 area specialist physicians into the Navarre Health Service-Osunbidea (SNS-O). The appointments, signed on July 27 by the Director General of Public Service, Gloria Arancón Largo, and on July 23 by the Managing Director of the SNS-O, are distributed among the specialties of dermatology, nephrology, and rheumatology, with the assumption of office scheduled for September 15, 2026.

The appointments stem from two previous SNS-O calls: Resolution 1920E/2025, dated October 9, which approved the provision through competitive examination and merit-based competition of 94 positions for area specialist physicians (published in BON number 218, dated October 31, 2025), and Resolution 663E/2025, dated May 9, which called for 105 vacancies via transfer through a merit-based competition (BON number 98, dated May 20, 2025). The final lists of admitted candidates were approved in December 2025, and the appointment proposals were published on the calls’ web pages between May and June 2026.

Dermatology: transfer and competitive examination

In dermatology, M.Q., and venereology, two incorporations occur. On one hand, Resolution 1541E/2026, dated July 23, assigns a vacancy via internal transfer to Saioa Oscoz Jaime, destined for the University Hospital of Navarra (Pamplona). On the other, Resolution 2371/2026 appoints Ángela Estenaga Pérez de Albéniz through a competitive examination, assigning her vacancy number 68209, attached to the García Orcoyen Hospital in Estella-Lizarra.

Nephrology: seven positions in the open category

Resolution 2372/2026 appoints seven area specialist physicians in nephrology via the open category, destined for the hospitals of Pamplona and Tudela:

  • Mario Pérez Arnedo — University Hospital of Navarra (Pamplona)
  • María Lanau Martínez — University Hospital of Navarra (Pamplona)
  • Adriana María Cavada Bustamante — University Hospital of Navarra (Pamplona)
  • Paula Juárez Mayor — University Hospital of Navarra (Pamplona)
  • Clara Escagedo Cagigas — Reina Sofía Hospital (Tudela)
  • Christian Israel Alfaro Sánchez — Reina Sofía Hospital (Tudela)
  • Kamil Lewczuk — Reina Sofía Hospital (Tudela)

Rheumatology: three positions in the open category

Resolution 2373/2026 appoints three area specialist physicians in rheumatology via the open category:

  • Guillén Sada Urmeneta — Reina Sofía Hospital (Tudela)
  • Juliana Restrepo Vélez — University Hospital of Navarra (Pamplona)
  • Ximena Elizabeth Larco Rojas — University Hospital of Navarra (Pamplona)

All appointed persons must take up their posts on September 15, 2026; those who do not, except in cases of force majeure sufficiently justified, will lose the rights to acquire the status of civil servant of the Administration of the Chartered Community of Navarra. An administrative appeal (recurso de alzada) may be filed against the resolutions before the Counselor of Interior, Public Service and Justice within one month.

The simultaneous publication of these appointments reinforces the staff of specialists at the hospitals of Pamplona and Tudela, filling vacancies in three high-demand healthcare areas and consolidating the public employment offer of the regional health system for the 2026 fiscal year.
