Por FactBox Admin

The General Directorate of the Interior of the Government of Navarra has approved the call for the provision, via a transfer competition, of 42 positions for the job of auxiliary firefighter driver, level D, for the service of the Administration of the Chartered Community of Navarra and its autonomous bodies. The offer is detailed in Resolution 6512E/2026, dated August 17, signed by the Director General of the Interior, Salvador Díez Zapata, and published in the Official Gazette of Navarra number 183, dated September 15, 2026.
This is one of the largest mobility offers from the Navarra Fire Service-Nafarroako Suhiltzaileak, which will allow for the filling of permanent labor regime vacancies in the fire stations of the Chartered Community. Interested parties will have a non-extendable period of ten calendar days, starting from the day following the publication of the call, to submit their application.
Regulatory Framework and Background
The call stems from Foral Decree 40/2026, dated June 17, published in the Official Gazette of Navarra number 128, dated July 2, 2026, which approves the partial public employment offer in the Navarra Fire Service-Nafarroako Suhiltzaileak, including the 42 positions of auxiliary firefighter driver, level D.
The procedure is governed by Legislative Foral Decree 251/1993, dated August 30, which approves the Recast Text of the Statute of Personnel in the Service of the Public Administrations of Navarra; the Regulation for the Provision of Job Positions, approved by Foral Decree 215/1985, dated November 6, as amended by Foral Decree 97/2024; Foral Law 7/2025, dated June 4, on extraordinary measures for the reduction of temporary employment; and Foral Order 130/1998, dated August 12, which establishes the merit scales.

- Merits will be assessed according to the scale in Annex I, with one point per year of seniority in the position, up to a maximum of 40 points.
- Ties will be resolved by greater seniority and, if necessary, by lottery.
- Following the scoring process, participants will choose vacancies within a period of five business days.
- Adjudication will be carried out in order of score via a resolution from the Director General of the Interior, published in the Official Gazette of Navarra.
An administrative appeal may be filed against the call and its bases before the Councilor for Interior, Public Service, and Justice within one month.
Relevance of the call
This call represents an opportunity for permanent firefighting personnel in Navarra to consolidate their definitive destination and for those on leave to rejoin active service, while allowing the Navarra Fire Service to reinforce the coverage of its stations with experienced personnel. The resolution is part of the Foral Community’s effort to reduce temporary employment and organize the provision of positions in emergency services.
