Navarra announces 17 firefighter positions via transfer competition

The General Directorate of the Interior of the Government of Navarra has approved the call for the provision, through a transfer competition, of 17 positions for the job of auxiliary firefighter laborer, level D, for the service of the Administration of the Chartered Community of Navarra and its autonomous bodies. The call is detailed in Resolution 6513E/2026, of August 17, signed by the Director General of the Interior, Salvador Díez Zapata, and is published in the Official Gazette of Navarra number 179, of September 10, 2026, on pages 32354 to 32359.

The positions come from the partial public employment offer approved by Foral Decree 40/2026, of June 17, published in the Official Gazette of Navarra number 128, of July 2, 2026, which included 17 auxiliary firefighter laborer positions in the Navarra Fire Service-Nafarroako Suhiltzaileak. Pursuant to article 33.1 of Foral Legislative Decree 251/1993, of August 30, and Foral Decree 215/1985, of November 6, the vacant positions included in the offer must be filled through a transfer competition.

Positions and Assignment

The 17 vacancies, under a permanent labor regime and level D, are assigned to the Operational Intervention, Stations, Campaigns, and Groups Section of the Navarra Fire Service. The called position numbers are:

• 9499, 9500, 9502, 9518, 9534, 9547, 9549, 9550, 9552, 9554, 9577 and 9581
• 10956, 10957, 10958, 10959 and 12142

The initial positions may be supplemented by those that remain vacant on the day the tribunal transmits the list of contestants, and may be excluded if they are subject to relocation processes or allocation to those returning to active service.

Requirements and Submission

Those who hold the status of permanent personnel in any public administration of Navarra, regardless of their administrative situation, with the position of auxiliary firefighter laborer and classified in level or group D, may apply. Those participating from voluntary leave must have remained in that situation for at least one year.

• The application and merits are submitted electronically at www.navarra.es, in the public employment section.
• The deadline is ten calendar days from the day following the publication, non-extendable.
• Services provided to public administrations are incorporated directly into the file and should not be provided.

Tribunal and Scale

The qualifying tribunal will be chaired by Jon Andoni Diez de Ure Eraul, head of the Operational Intervention Section, with Alberto Garde Sesma as substitute. Joseba Iñaki Lizarbe Aristu acts as member and M.ª Teresa Osta Peteiro as secretary, with Gorka Vidarte Mendioroz and Puy Armañanzas Pagola as substitutes.

Merits are assessed according to the scale in Annex I, which scores seniority in the position at a rate of 1 point per year, up to a maximum of 40 points. Ties are resolved in favor of the person with greater seniority and, if applicable, by lottery. The allocation will be carried out in order of score, and the choice of vacancies shall be mandatory.

Closing

The call opens an internal mobility route for permanent firefighting personnel in Navarra, allowing for the reorganization of staff between stations and service groups without the need for a new selection process. The submission period, of ten calendar days, is brief; therefore, interested parties must process their application electronically with promptness.
