Navarra announces 122,604 euros in grants for the Petö method in minors

The Department of Health of Navarra has approved a new call for grants, endowed with 122,604 euros, to finance rehabilitative treatment using the Petö method for children under 16 with cerebral palsy or related neurological processes. The call is published in the Official Gazette of Navarra number 170, dated August 28, 2026, and the application period is open from September 1 to September 30.

The call is approved by Resolution 541E/2026, dated August 7, by the Director General of Health, Antonio López Andrés, and is framed within Foral Law 16/2025, of December 22, on the General Budgets of Navarra for 2026, and Foral Law 11/2005, of November 9, on Grants. The aid is listed in the Strategic Grant Plan of the Administration of the Foral Community of Navarra 2026-208, within the lines of the Department of Health.

Purpose and beneficiaries

The grants cover, totally or partially, the expenditure incurred between October 1, 2025, and September 30, 2026, for the application of rehabilitative treatment using the Petö method. The activity is carried out in centers authorized for health activities and is taught by professionals with the required qualification.

The following people may be beneficiaries if they meet these requirements:

• Have a diagnosis of cerebral palsy or a related neurological process issued by a neuropediatric professional.
• Be under 16 years of age at the time of receiving the therapeutic intervention.
• The suitability of the treatment must have been indicated by a neuropediatric professional.
• Reside stably in Navarra for at least one year before September 30, 2026.

Amount and financing

The call has an amount of 122,604 euros, financeable from budget item 511000 51100 4809 311102, titled “Aid for boys and girls with cerebral palsy in treatment with the Petö method,” from the 2026 Expenditure Budget. The call code in the National Grants Database is 924148.

Deadline and submission of applications

The application submission period begins on September 1, 2026, and ends on September 30 of the same year, both dates inclusive. Applications should preferably be submitted through the Service Catalog of the Government of Navarra, or via the General Electronic Registry or the Registry of the Department of Health (calle Tudela 20, Pamplona).

Award criteria

The award is made by resolution of the Director General of Health, following an assessment by the evaluation commission. Each beneficiary will receive a base treatment cycle of 1,182 euros, provided that the expenditure incurred is equal to or greater than that amount; if the budget availability is lower, the aid will be prorated among all applications.

This call for applications reinforces public support for Navarrese families with minors affected by cerebral palsy, guaranteeing access to specialized rehabilitative treatment. The publication in the official bulletin opens a one-month window for interested parties to submit their applications and access aid that covers a significant part of the treatment cost.
