Navarra increases self-employment and disability grants by 600,000 euros

The Navarre Employment Service-Nafar Lansare (SNE-Nafar Lansare) has increased employment grants by 600,000 euros for 2026, in response to the high demand for applications recorded throughout the year. The managing director, María Esther Fernández Razquin, has signed two resolutions, both dated August 11, authorizing an extra 350,000 euros for the promotion of self-employment and 250,000 euros for the labor insertion of people with disabilities. The agreements are published in the Official Gazette of Navarra number 170, dated August 28, 2026.

Expansion of self-employment

Resolution 4631E/2026, of August 11, authorizes an additional amount of 350,000 euros for the 2026 call for grants for the promotion of self-employment, with code BDNS 859980. The original call was approved by Resolution 6238E/2025, of December 26, which set an expenditure of 3,000,000 euros charged to budget item 950001 96100 4809 241109, “Grants for the promotion of self-employment,” and provided for the possibility of authorizing a maximum additional amount of 500,000 euros.

• No new application period is opened.
• Administrative appeal before the Councilor for Social Rights, Social Economy, and Employment.

Due to existing demand, it is anticipated that the authorized credit will be insufficient, therefore it has been decided to expand it without this implying the opening of a new application submission period.

Labor insertion of people with disabilities

Resolution 4675E/2026, of August 11, authorizes the additional increase in expenditure for 2026 for the grant “Labor insertion of people with disabilities in the ordinary labor market,” with code BDNS 883283. The bases for this call were approved by Resolution 795/2013, of May 16, modified by resolutions 1951E/2021, 477E/2022, and 442E/2023.

• Initial expenditure authorized for 2026: 390,000 euros (Resolution 1008/2026, of March 17).
• Current expenditure forecast: 440,000 euros.
• Additional amount authorized: 250,000 euros.
• Budget item: 950001 96100 4709 241118, “Sectoral Conference. Grants for the hiring of groups with difficult employability.”
• Application period open until November 30.

The increase in the number of applications throughout the year has raised the expenditure forecast, which has prompted the authorization of the additional amount. This increase also does not imply the opening of a new period nor the start of a new count of the maximum period to resolve and notify.

Relevance of the measure

Both expansions respond to the need to meet the high demand for employment grants in the Chartered Community during 2026. With these additional 600,000 euros, SNE-Nafar Lansare reinforces both support for self-employment and the hiring of people with disabilities, two priority groups in Navarra’s active employment policies.
