Navaleno corrects the tax ordinance for the street market and the patron saint festivities.

The Official Gazette of the Province of Soria (No. 95) published on Monday, August 17, 2026, an announcement from the town of Navaleno warning of the existence of an error in the Fiscal Ordinance regulating the Fee for the installation of stalls at the weekly market and at fairs and events on land for public use, whose original announcement appeared in BOP No. 8 dated January 19, 2026. The City Council corrects both the numbering of Article 6 (Requirements to be taken into account) and the rates of Article 7, and clarifies the fixed nature of some of them. The document bears the reference BOPSO-95-17082026.

The correction focuses on two fundamental sections of the fiscal ordinance approved by the Navaleno town council. On the one hand, the sections of Article 6 are renumbered, which establishes the requirements for both the weekly market and the fairs and patron saint festivities. On the other hand, the text of Article 7 is amended to precisely set the rates applicable to the different types of use of public land.

Weekly market: day, schedule and cleaning

The corrected Article 6 determines that the stipulated day for the weekly market in Navaleno is Tuesday, with a schedule between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The City Council reserves the right to change the date in the event that it cannot be held. Once the market has ended, stall holders are obliged to remove their installations immediately and to leave the plot clean of waste and rubbish.

Patron saint festivities from August 14 to 18

The Patron Saint Festivities of Navaleno are held from August 14 to 18. Stalls on the occasion of these festivities, as well as those of other events organized or authorized by the City Council, may be installed in the designated areas. The application must be submitted to the Municipal Registry at least 20 days before the start date of the celebration. Once the event has ended, the holders must remove the installations and clean the occupied space, under warning of penalty.

Mandatory documentation and common requirements

Both the holders of the weekly market and the fairground traders must have all the documentation required by current regulations, which must be submitted together with the application. The required documents are:

• ID card or residence card of the applicant.
• Registration in the Economic Activities Tax.
• Registration in the Social Security system.
• Last paid Social Security receipt for self-employed workers.
• Annual inspection of the fairground ride in force (only fairground rides).
• Civil liability insurance in force (policy and proof of payment).
• Food handler’s certificate (for installations that trade in food products).

The lack of any of these documents will lead to the denial or immediate withdrawal of the authorization.

Corrected fees: flat rate for hospitality and attractions

The amended Article 7 establishes the following fees:

• Weekly market: €5 per stall.
• Fairs at patron saint festivities or other events:
  • Hospitality: €100 for the festivities.
  • Stalls/bazaar: €5 per stall and day.
  • Attractions/raffles: €150 for the festivities.

The amounts corresponding to hospitality and attractions/raffles are considered a flat rate for the entirety of the festivities, regardless of the number of days actually installed. The announcement was signed in Navaleno on August 13, 2026, by the Mayor, Luis José Lucas Pérez.

The publication of this erratum is relevant for merchants and fairground vendors operating in Navaleno, since the corrected figures —particularly the flat rate of €100 for hospitality and €150 for attractions— differ substantially from those included in the initial version published in January, which directly affects the financial planning of those wishing to set up stalls during the patron saint festivities and the weekly market.
