Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of Navaescurial (Ávila) has definitively approved the General Budget for 2026, for a total amount of 244,400 euros, as no claims were submitted during the public exhibition period. This was announced by the mayor, Susana Curiel Torrijos, through a notice published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ávila number 1761/26, dated September 3, 2026.

The approval is based on the provisions of article 112.3 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of Local Regime, and articles 169.1 and 169.3 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries. The budget was approved in due course by the Plenary of the Corporation and, as no objections were registered, it becomes definitive and is published in summary form by chapters.

Expenditure: real investments, the largest item

The real investments chapter concentrates 127,000 euros, the highest item in the budget, which anticipates municipal public works during the fiscal year. This is followed in importance by personnel expenses and current goods and services.

  • Personnel remuneration: 77,800 €
  • Expenses for current goods and services: 39,250 €
  • Real investments: 127,000 €
  • Financial expenses: 200 €
  • Current transfers: 150 €

Income: financing for the fiscal year

On the income side, capital transfers contribute 117,000 euros, the main source of financing, followed by current transfers and direct taxes.

  • Direct taxes: 30,900 €
  • Indirect taxes: 5,500 €
  • Fees and other income: 8,838 €
  • Current transfers: 74,895 €
  • Patrimonial income: 7,267 €
  • Capital transfers: 117,000 €

Municipal Staffing

Along with the budget, the staffing and list of job positions is approved, which includes one position for civil servant personnel with national qualification (grouped) and contractual staff, although the total number of positions is not detailed in the announcement.

Appeal Period

A contentious-administrative appeal may be filed against the definitive approval within a period of two months starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province, in accordance with article 171.1 of the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries. The announcement was signed in Navaescurial on August 28, 2026, by the mayor.

The publication of the budget is of particular interest to residents and to contractors and companies in the construction sector, who can learn about the destination of municipal spending and the public works opportunities arising from the real investments item, the largest of the fiscal year.
