Narón opens a call for 80,000 euros in grants for sports clubs

The City Council of Narón opens the application period for grants aimed at municipal sports clubs and entities for the 2025 financial year, with a maximum allocation of 80,000 euros. The call was approved by the municipal Plenary on September 24, 2026, and its extract is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña (BOP) number 196, dated October 14, 2026, under announcement number 2026/6499.

The publication is carried out under articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, general law on subsidies, and the full text of the call can be consulted in the National Subsidy Database (BDNS), with identifier 933882. The rules governing the process are the Municipal Ordinance Regulating the granting of Subsidies and public aid of the Narón City Council, dated June 27, 2025, published in BOP number 159, dated August 22, 2025. 80,000 euros charged to the extended 2026 budget

The amount will be distributed among the applications that meet the requirements of the call, without the extract fixing individual amounts per entity. The imputed expenditure corresponds to the extended budget of the current year, while the activities subject to aid refer to the previous year.

Who can apply for the aid and what is subsidized

• Beneficiaries: non-profit sports clubs and entities that carry out their activity within the municipal area.
• General requirement: comply with the conditions required in the regulating ordinance and the specific requirements of the call.
• Object: programs and activities of sports clubs and entities duly registered in the Narón City Council.
• Territorial scope: activities developed within the municipal term of Narón.

The call is not limited to a specific discipline, but covers the entirety of the local sports fabric registered in the council, provided that the entities prove their status as non-profit associations and their municipal registration.

Deadlines: fifteen days to apply and one month to justify

• Submission of applications: 15 calendar days from the day following the publication of the extract in the BOP of A Coruña, that is, from October 15 until October 29, 2026.
• Expenses subject to justification: those between January 1 and December 31, 2025.
• Justification of the granted subsidy: one month from the day following the notification of the granting agreement, in accordance with the agreement adopted by the Plenary on September 24, 2026.

The application period is counted in calendar days, which includes Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, reducing the effective submission window for interested entities. The justification, on the other hand, is linked to the individual notification of the granting agreement and not to the date of publication of the summary.

The call has a direct impact on the grassroots sports fabric of Narón, which has fifteen calendar days to formalize applications and access a line of up to 80,000 euros intended to finance programs and activities already executed in 2025. Interested entities must review their municipal registration and the documentation required by the ordinance before the deadline expires.
