Muro licita 150 paradas de la Fira de Sant Antoni 2027

The Muro de Alcoy City Council has opened the application period for the occupation of public domain with non-sedentary sales stalls and recreational activities during the 2027 Sant Antoni Fair. The call is published by edict in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante (BOP) No. 207, dated October 30, 2026, under reference 8195/2026, and sets the deadline as December 1, 2026, inclusive. Applications submitted after the deadline will be inadmissible.

Dates, locations, and stall quota

The fair will be held on January 15, 16, and 17, 2027, and the maximum number of authorized stops is set at 150 stalls or stops. The territorial scope of the occupation comprises two areas of the municipality:

  • Old Town (Casco Antiguo), the traditional route of the fair.
  • Plaza Matzem, an additional space for the installation of stalls.

The edict invokes article 77.2 of the Regulations on Assets of Local Entities, approved by Royal Decree 1372/1986, of June 13, which allows for the direct granting of licenses unless their number is limited, in which case a bidding process is used and, if that is not possible, a lottery. This is the framework that justifies the public call and the maximum quota of stops.

Three types of authorization

The call distinguishes three types of commerce or authorization, each with its own application form:

  • Non-sedentary sales: trinkets, crafts, sale of food products without cooking or consumption at the stall, textiles, and similar.
  • Non-sedentary sales and recreational activities: food trucks, churrerías, and other food products with cooking or consumption at the stall; requires Form 080 and the non-sedentary sales form.
  • Recreational activity or public shows without including non-sedentary sales; processed using Form 080.

The technical requirements refer to current municipal regulations: the Regulatory Ordinance for non-sedentary sales in the municipal district of Muro de Alcoy (BOP No. 227, of 11-28-2012) and the Municipal Ordinance on environmental intervention regarding activities (BOP No. 194, of 10-10-2014). The mixed modality of sales and recreation is subject to both regulations.

How and where to submit applications

Natural persons may choose to interact with the administration through electronic or in-person means, unless they are required to use the electronic route according to article 14.2 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations (LPACAP). Applications may be registered in the registries and offices provided for in article 16.4 of the same law.

Standardized forms are available on the municipal electronic office at www.vilademuro.net/oficina-virtual/descarrega-de-documents. The edict appears signed by the mayor, with a digital signature, and is published “for its knowledge and effects” in section III, Local Administration, of the provincial bulletin.

Impact on the sector

The call for applications conditions the winter season for street vendors and mobile catering in the region, who have just over a month to gather documentation and submit their application. The limit of 150 stops and the distribution between the old town and Matzem square turn the process into a competitive allocation, with a lottery as the planned mechanism if the applicants’ conditions are homogeneous. Anyone who does not formalize the request before December 1, 2026, will be excluded from the fair.
