Por FactBox Admin

The Plenary Council of Muras, in an ordinary session held on August 26, 2026, initially approved the credit modification file through extraordinary credit 3/2026, financed by higher revenues than those forecast, for an amount of 834,958.67 euros. This is the largest budgetary modification of the edition, affecting the municipal budget for the 2022 fiscal year extended for the 2026 fiscal year.
The announcement was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo (BOP no. 201, September 3, 2026, p. 27), with reference R. 2333, and signed by the mayor, Manuel Requeijo Arnejo, on August 27, 2026.
Processing and public exhibition
The file will remain open to the public for a period of fifteen business days, counting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province and on the electronic headquarters of the Muras Council, for the purpose of submitting claims to the Plenary.
The processing complies with the provisions of Article 177.2, in relation to Article 169, of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Revised Text of the Law regulating Local Treasuries.
- Public exhibition period: 15 business days from publication.
- Place of consultation: BOP of Lugo and electronic headquarters of the Muras Council.
- Recipient of claims: the municipal Plenary.
Financing and scope
The extraordinary credit is financed by higher revenues than those forecast, without this implying an increase in the deficit or an alteration of the budgetary balance. The same edition of the gazette also includes, for Muras, a credit supplement 5/2026 for an amount of 25,000 euros, bringing the total municipal budgetary modifications to over 859,000 euros.
If no claims are submitted by the end of the public exhibition period, the file will be considered definitively approved, in accordance with current legislation.
Relevance for the residents
The approval of this extraordinary credit, the highest of the edition, provides the Muras Council with additional resources to cover expenses not foreseen in the extended budget. Residents and interested parties may consult the file and submit allegations to the Plenary during the public exhibition period, a guarantee of transparency and participation in the control of municipal accounts.
