Muras opens the application period for one interim forestry worker position

The Muras City Council has opened the selection process to fill one position for a forestry worker as an interim civil servant by program, charged to the employment reinforcement project of the 2026 Single Plan. The call was approved by Mayoral Decree 2026-0459, dated September 8, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo number 214, dated September 18, 2026, with reference R. 2457. Interested parties have five business days to submit their application, counting from the day following the publication of the announcement.

The text published in the provincial gazette is a brief announcement, signed by Mayor Manuel Requeijo Arnejo in Muras on September 8, 2026. It only indicates that the bases and the call for the selection process have been approved, the deadline for submitting applications, and the place where the full bases can be consulted. The BOP does not include the number of positions, the duration of the appointment, the remuneration, or the selection system, data which are referred to the full text of the bases.

The position is charged to the employment reinforcement project of the 2026 Single Plan, the provincial financing line through which the councils of the province fund temporary staff hiring for the execution of works and minimum services of municipal competence. In announcements that other Lugo councils published on the same dates, this program appears identified as the Employment Reinforcement Program of the 2026 Provincial Council Cooperation Plan with Councils, with a usual contract duration of between four and twelve months and the requirement that applicants be unemployed or in a situation of employment improvement.

A temporary appointment linked to a program

Consultation of the rules and publicity of the process

The full rules are not reproduced in the provincial gazette: the announcement limits its function to publicizing the call and setting the deadline, and refers the complete content to the municipal electronic office. It is in that document where the requirements for applicants, the tests, the composition of the tribunal, and the appointment conditions must appear.

The publication in the BOP serves as an official announcement and marks the start of the deadline count, so that any interested person must count the five business days from the day following September 18, 2026. The city council’s electronic office is also the designated channel for the submission of applications.

The call has a limited scope—a single temporary position—but is relevant for unemployed persons in the municipality seeking a job opportunity. The deadline, of only five business days, is also one of the shortest that have been published in the BOP of Lugo for this type of program, meaning the reaction window for applicants is narrow.
