The Town Council of Mugardos opens the selection process, through the open opposition procedure, to create an employment pool for administrative assistants intended for future temporary hires. The call and its terms were approved by Decree no. 2026-0909, of 10 August 2026, and are published in issue no. 154 of the Official Bulletin of the Province of A Coruña, corresponding to 14 August 2026, with announcement no. 2026/5345.
The announcement is processed under article 58.4 of Law 2/2015, of 29 April, on Public Employment of Galicia, and is supplemented by the general terms published in BOP no. 74, of 16 April 2024. The pool will cover positions classified in group C, subgroup C2, scale of General Administration, subscale Administrative Assistant, which will be filled by appointing interim civil servants.
What the pool will be used for
The objective is the temporary provision of posts when any of the circumstances provided for in article 10.1 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of 30 October (TREBEP), and in article 23.2 of Law 2/2015 occur:
- Vacant posts when their coverage by career civil servants is not possible, for a maximum of three years.
- Temporary replacement of the post holders, for strictly the necessary time.
- Implementation of temporary programmes, with a maximum duration of three years, extendable by up to twelve additional months.
- Excess or accumulation of tasks, for a maximum period of nine months within an eighteen-month period.
The pool will also serve for temporary labour contracting under article 15 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015 (Workers’ Statute) for the post with code 9005, administrative assistant for Social Services, until its conversion into a civil-service post is carried out. The post is remunerated with destination supplement level 18 and a specific supplement of €663.35 per month (figure from the July 2026 payroll), with full-time working hours.
How the selection process will be
The system chosen is open opposition. The compulsory and elimination test will consist of a multiple-choice questionnaire of 50 questions with three alternative answers, plus 10 reserve questions, with a maximum time of 90 minutes:
- 35 questions of theoretical content, each worth 1.25 points.
- 15 questions on practical cases, each worth 3.75 points.
- Incorrect answers will deduct 0.05 points; blank answers will not be penalised.
- The exercise will be scored from 0 to 100 points and it will be necessary to obtain 50 to pass it.
Those who do not prove Celga 2 level or equivalent must also pass an elimination test on knowledge of the Galician language, graded as pass or fail, consisting of the direct and reverse translation of texts in a maximum of 30 minutes and without the aid of a dictionary.
Requirements for applicants
Interested persons must meet, among others, the following requirements, as of the closing date of the application submission period:
- Have Spanish nationality or that of a member state of the European Union or the European Economic Area.
- Have turned 16 and not exceed the maximum compulsory retirement age.
- Hold the certificate of compulsory secondary education (Graduado en Educación Secundaria Obrigatoria) or equivalent.

- Not be disqualified, not have been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings, nor convicted of crimes against sexual freedom and indemnity.
- Pay the examination fees into the town council’s bank account.
The creation of this job pool will allow the Mugardos Town Council to quickly cover the administrative staffing needs that arise in the coming years, due to vacancies, replacements or work peaks, without opening a selection process each time. Admitted persons will become part of an ordered priority list to which the council can turn immediately. The announcement is signed by the mayor, Juan Domingo de Deus Fonticoba, in Mugardos, on 11 August 2026.
