Motril appoints five local police officers in training for the 2025 OEP

The Motril City Council has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada the appointment of five trainee civil servants for the Local Police, selected through an open competitive process to fill positions from the 2025 Public Employment Offer. The resolution, signed by Mayor Luisa María García Chamorro, is included in issue number 173 of the gazette, dated September 8, 2026, with reference BOP-GRA-2026-173012.

The candidates, who obtained the highest scores in the selection process, will begin the Entry Course for the Local Police Forces of Andalusia in its XXII Edition, taught by the Local Police School of Granada, between September 9, 2026, and July 16, 2027.

Appointment and announced positions

Resolution number 2026006155, dated August 12, 2026, resolves the selection procedure for the provision by open competition of five vacant Local Police positions (references F2273, F2281, F3837, F3838, and F150), via the open shift, corresponding to the 2025 OEP. The positions belong to the Special Administration Scale, Special Services Subscale, Police Category of the Local Police Corps, with Professional Classification Group C, Subgroup C1.

The five appointed candidates, along with their final scores, are:

• Jesús Vilchez Piquero — 16.25 points
• José Samuel Gómez Granados — 16.00 points
• Alejandro Hernández Jiménez — 13.55 points
• José Antonio Rincón Ortiz — 13.00 points
• Jesús Molina Medina — 12.95 points

Remuneration and course requirements

During the selection course, the trainee civil servants will receive the salaries corresponding to professional classification group C, subgroup C1, in accordance with the provisions of the seventh section of the legal grounds of the resolution.

Prior to signing the assumption of office, the appointees must submit a declaration stating that they are not subject to any cause of incompatibility, as established in Law 53/1984, of December 26, on Incompatibilities of personnel in the service of the Public Administration.

Assumption of office and compliance

To acquire the status of trainee civil servant, the candidates must swear an oath of compliance with the Constitution, the Statute of Autonomy for Andalusia, and the rest of the Legal System, in accordance with article 62.1.c) of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the revised text of the Law of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee, and take office.

The resolution orders the publication of these appointments in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada, and was signed in Motril on September 3, 2026, by the mayor-president Luisa María García Chamorro.

Reinforcement of the Security Staff

With this appointment, the Motril City Council takes another step toward filling the positions of the 2025 OEP (Public Employment Offer), reinforcing the staff of the Local Police Force following the open competitive selection process. The incorporation of these five trainee officers, once they have completed the course at the Granada Local Police School, will allow for the consolidation of the security and citizen coexistence service in the coastal municipality, within a context of renewal and expansion of local police personnel.
