MOP tenders the design of the Puerto Natales Women's Center

The Architecture Directorate of the Ministry of Public Works (MOP), through its Regional Ministerial Secretariat in the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic Region, has issued a digital public tender for the design of the “Construction of the Women’s Center Puerto Natales”. The notice was published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Chile No. 44,554, on Monday, September 21, 2026, Section IV, with the official reference CVE 2872955. The call corresponds to the design stage of a facility intended for the care of women in the capital of the Última Esperanza province, and is executed entirely electronically through the platform www.mercadopublico.cl. The schedule established in the terms and conditions sets the following stages:

Deadline for inquiries: from 09.21.2026 to 10.06.2026.
Deadline for responses: until 11.02.2026.
Closing for receipt of technical and economic bids: 11.20.2026, at 14:59 hours.
Opening of technical bids: 11.20.2026, at 15:00 hours.
Opening of economic bids: 12.07.2026, at 15:30 hours.

Amount, modality, and execution period

The economic and contractual conditions of the design were defined in the official notice:

Maximum available amount: $54,426,303, taxes included.
Contract modality: lump sum.
Execution period: 300 calendar days.
Funding source: FNDR of the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic Region.

The notice was signed by the Regional Ministerial Secretary of Public Works of the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic Region, and the document features an advanced electronic signature and time stamp in accordance with Law No. 19,799.

The tender opens a specific opportunity for architecture firms in the region, which are competing for a design contract funded with regional resources and with a schedule extending until December 2026.
