Por FactBox Admin

The Plenary Session of the Monzón City Council, in an ordinary session held on August 31, 2026, adopted the agreement to initially approve the 2nd Modification of the Municipal Ordinance regulating Traffic, its mobility aspects, its environmental impact, and road safety in Monzón. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca, number 169, on Friday, September 4, 2026, with official reference BOPH-2026-169010.

The modification directly affects the circulation of all residents of Monzón, as it regulates traffic, mobility, environmental impact, and road safety within the municipality. The agreement is adopted under the terms contained in file 1872639N, processed by the General Secretariat of the council.

Public information and hearing for associations

In compliance with current regulations, the agreement and the text of the modification are submitted for public information for a period of thirty business days, which will be counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of Aragon. During this period, residents and legitimate interested parties may examine the file and submit claims, objections, or observations.

Simultaneously, a hearing is granted to neighborhood associations and consumer and user defense associations established within the territorial scope of the City Council that are registered in the Registry of Neighborhood Associations and whose purposes are directly related to the object of the provision.

Final approval and consultation of the text

If no claims or suggestions are presented during the period of public exhibition and the hearing for associations, the modification will be understood as definitively approved, without the need for an express agreement from the Plenary. The text of the ordinance will be published on the City Council’s web portal so that it can be consulted by interested parties.

The announcement is signed by the mayor, Mr. Isaac Claver Ortigosa, in Monzón, as of the date of the electronic signature.

Relevance for residents

The reform of the traffic and mobility ordinance is one of the regulations with the greatest daily impact on citizens, as it affects circulation, travel, and road safety in the municipality. Citizen participation during the public information period and the hearing for neighborhood associations constitute the means by which the residents of Monzón can submit allegations before the modification is definitively approved.
