Montgai definitively approves the cemetery improvement project with 31,091 euros

The Montgai City Council has definitively approved the valued report for the improvement of the municipal cemetery, a project budgeted at 31,091.55 euros (VAT included), which opens the way for the contracting of the works. The agreement was adopted by Mayoral Decree 216/2026, dated August 31, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lleida (no. 167, edict 7403, dated September 1, 2026).

The processing began on July 7, when Mayoral Decree 183/2026 initially approved the valued report “Improvement of the cemetery in Montgai.” No objections were submitted during the public information period; therefore, the document is considered definitively approved, as provided for in article 37.2 of Decree 179/1995, of June 13, which approves the Regulations for works, activities, and services of local entities.

The project and its budget

The valued report was drafted by Lluís Agulló Goixart, architect of the Noguera County Council and member of the College of Architects of Catalonia with membership number 67840-6. The total contract budget is broken down as follows:

• 25,695.50 euros as the base execution budget.
• 5,396.05 euros for VAT.
• 31,091.55 euros as the total budget, VAT included.

The file processed by the City Council bears number 424/2026, and the announcement is published with the official reference CVE BOP-2026_0_167_7403.

Deadlines and appeals

The resolution, which ends the administrative route, may be appealed by interested parties through two alternative ways:

• Optional appeal for reversal, before the Mayor’s Office, within a period of one month from the day following the publication of the announcement, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure.
• Contentious-administrative appeal, before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Lleida, within a period of two months, in accordance with articles 8.1, 25.1, and 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13.

Impact for the municipality

With the definitive approval of the report, the Noguera council unlocks the next phase of the process: the bidding and contracting of the cemetery improvement works. This is an action to improve a public service facility essential for the municipality, which can now move toward the awarding of the works with a fixed budget and no pending objections.
