Montblanc corrects the template error and publishes the vacant positions

The Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona (BOPT) publishes this Friday, 14 August 2026, the amendment of the notice regarding the Municipal Staff of the Montblanc City Council for the 2026 financial year, with electronic verification code CVE 2026-07576 and notice 363245. The rectification corrects an administrative error in the publication of 4 March 2026 (CVE 2026-01865), which had omitted the detailed staff list. The document, signed by the mayor Marc Vinya Miralles, now makes public the complete list of positions, with several vacant posts.

The notice corresponds to file 4308620002-2026-0000372 and publicises the final approval of the municipal staff of Montblanc for 2026. According to the text, the publication of 4 March did not include, due to an administrative error, the document with the detailed staff list; therefore the amendment proceeds to publish the full staff table “for general knowledge and appropriate effects”. The mayor electronically signed the document on 5 August 2026, with a publication date of 14 August.

A staff organised into four main blocks

The staff table distinguishes three scales of civil servants and a separate list of labour staff. Thus, the staff includes the positions of national habilitation officials (secretariat and intervention-treasury, codes FHCN), the general administration scale (technical, administrative and assistant staff, codes AG and RH), and the special administration scale (local police, special technicians and home educators, codes POL, AE and LLARF). Added to this is a second table of total remuneration with the labour staff: caretakers, sports and tourism technicians, radio, nursery and open centre, music school, technical services (SSTT), municipal brigade, archive, library, ICT and blue zone surveillance.

The vacancy hotspots: treasury, police and education

The list now published makes visible the unfilled posts, especially relevant for local public employment:

• Treasury: the post of TREASURER (FHCN3) appears as vacant, with total remuneration of €43,127.50.
• Local police: the post of sergeant (POL 1, €55,122.08) and four officer posts (POL 3, POL 14, POL 16 and POL 18, €38,830.00 each) are vacant.
• Education: one educator post (LLARF 3), the nursery labour posts (LLAR 1, LLAR 2, LLAR 4 and LLAR 8) and three music teaching posts (MÚSICA 6, MÚSICA 10 and MÚSICA 11) are vacant.
• General administration: the post of human resources technician (RH1, newly created) and numerous administrative assistant posts (AG3, AG4, AG8 to AG17 and AG22) are vacant.
• Other areas with vacancies: municipal brigade, tourism, archive, radio, technical services, library and blue zone surveillance.

Creations, expansions and abolitions

The amendment also details the changes to the staffing table compared to the previous situation:

• The position of human resources technician (RH1) appears as a new position, and those of senior specialist technician (AE3) and senior technician of SSTT (ST1) are listed with extended working hours.
• The positions of second-class officer (BRI 14), school janitor (CON 3), tourism information officer (TUR 4), and blue zone attendant (ZBL 2) are listed as positions to be abolished.

The full publication of the staffing table is of direct interest to readers: the vacant positions now made public may form the basis of future staff selection calls by Montblanc Town Council during the 2026 financial year. At the same time, the amendment reinforces the legal certainty and transparency of a process that had been left incomplete by the administrative omission of March.
