Monroyo approves the 2026 water and sewage registry

The Monroyo City Council has approved, by means of a Mayoral Resolution dated September 14, 2026, the tax roll for the Drinking Water and Sewerage Service corresponding to the year 2026. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel (number 177, of September 16, 2026), under reference No. 2026-2665, and affects all taxpayers in the municipality.

The tax roll is open for public inspection for a period of twenty days, starting from the day following its publication in the gazette, during which it will be available to interested parties at the general offices of the City Council. An appeal for reversal may be filed against the act of approval of the tax roll and the liquidation incorporated therein before the Mayor’s Office within one month from the end of the public exhibition period.

Collection Calendar and Voluntary Period

The deadline for payment of the tax during the voluntary period will extend from September 28 to November 28. Direct debit receipts will be processed for collection starting September 28, 2026, from the accounts designated by the taxpayers.

Cash payment of non-direct debit receipts: in any account opened in the name of the City Council, at Iber-Caja or Caja Rural.
After payment, present the proof of payment at the City Council’s Collection office, where the original receipt will be provided.
Direct debit receipts: automatic charge to the accounts indicated by each taxpayer.

Appeal Process and Surcharge Regime

Once the voluntary period has elapsed without payment having been made, the executive period will begin, and the surcharges established in Law 58/2003, of December 17, General Tax Law, shall apply. The management of the tax roll is the responsibility of the Tax Management Office of the Monroyo City Council.

Relevance for Residents

The approval of the annual tax roll for the water and sewerage service establishes the payment obligations of all taxpayers in the municipality for the 2026 fiscal year. Residents should be mindful of the public exhibition period to review their liquidations and, if applicable, file an appeal for reversal, as well as the collection calendar to avoid entering the executive period and the application of surcharges.
