Monforte announces three vacancies for Local Police assistant for 2027

Por FactBox Admin

Monforte convoca tres prazas de auxiliar de Policía Local para 2027

The Monforte de Lemos City Council is calling for three Local Police assistant positions for the year 2027. The Local Government Board approved the rules in its ordinary session on October 5, 2026, and the announcement was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 239, on October 19, 2026, with the official reference R. 2795. Interested parties have twenty business days to submit their application.

The text bears the signature of the first deputy mayor, Gloria María Prada Rodríguez, and is dated in Monforte on October 7, 2026. The announcement is limited to publicizing the agreement of the Government Board and establishing the procedure to compete in the selection process: it does not include the requirements, the exercises, or the composition of the tribunal in its body, which are referred to the approved rules. These can be consulted on the municipal website (www.monfortedelemos.es) and on the council’s notice board.

The call refers expressly to “Local Police assistants” with a time horizon set in the year 2027, which refers to the figure of seasonal police assistants. Their hiring is contemplated in the Order of January 28, 2009, which determines the selection tests, syllabi, and merit scales for entry into local police bodies and for the hiring of seasonal assistants, within the framework of Law 4/2007, of April 20, on the coordination of local police.

Twenty business days from publication

The deadline for submitting applications is twenty (20) business days and begins to count the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo, that is, from October 20, 2026. The publication occurs in number 239 of the provincial gazette, corresponding to the day of Monday, October 19.

The conditions of the procedure are as follows:

  • The application is addressed to the mayor-president of the Monforte de Lemos City Council, according to the model appearing on the municipal website.
  • Submission is made at the council’s document registry, from nine to two, or at any of the places provided for in article 16 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure.
  • If the application is not submitted at the municipal registry, the applicant must communicate this on the same day of submission to the email rrhh@concellodemonforte.com.
  • The complete rules are available to interested parties on the council’s website and on the notice board.

More open processes in the council

The police call is added to other recent selection activity in the same council. The Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 237, of October 16, 2026, published a correction of errors in the rules for one electrician official position and one works official position, both as labor personnel and by internal promotion, whose original rules appeared in number 227, of October 3, 2026.

That correction specifically affected the section regarding the form and deadline for submitting applications, which was set at twenty business days from the day following the publication of the rules in the provincial bulletin. The announcement from Monforte on October 19 maintains this same deadline for the Local Police assistants process.

Impact for applicants in the region

Monforte de Lemos is the head of the region of the same name and one of the main public employers in the southern area of the province of Lugo, which is why every municipal call concentrates a high number of applications. The three Local Police assistant positions are thus added to a public employment offer that, in the final stretch of 2026, has already included positions for contractual staff and internal promotion.

Anyone interested in applying should consult the rules before preparing the documentation, as the published announcement does not detail the qualification requirements, the exercises, nor the evaluable merits. Furthermore, the deadline is short: twenty business days from October 20, with no margin for extensions once registration has closed.
