Por FactBox Admin

The Local Government Board of the Monforte de Lemos City Council approved the tax rolls corresponding to the 2026 fiscal year during its session on August 31, 2026, and announced their collection. The decision is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo, number 208, dated September 11, 2026, under reference R. 2403, and opens the voluntary payment period between September 25 and November 25, 2026.
The approved rolls affect several taxes with periodic maturity, whose receipts are notified collectively in accordance with article 102.3 of Law 58/2003, of December 17, General Tax Law. The public exhibition of the rolls will be maintained for 20 days from the start of the payment period, during which time the relevant claims may be filed.
Taxes included in the rolls
The agreement covers the set of municipal taxes with periodic maturity for the 2026 fiscal year:
- Fee for the provision of services at the Cemetery.
- Fee for the special use of the local public domain with shop windows, awnings, canopies, and collectors on public roads.
- Fee for the occupation of the subsoil of public roads.
- Fee for parking on public roads for taxis and other rental vehicles.
- Fee for vehicle entry through curbs and reservation of space on public roads for exclusive parking, loading, and unloading.
- Fee for the installation of kiosks on public roads.
- Fee for fair stalls.
- Fee for the use of the local domain in the market or supply square.
Voluntary period and payment methods
In accordance with article 13.2 of the General Ordinance of Municipal Public Law Revenues, the payment deadline for the voluntary period is set from 09.25.2026 to 11.25.2026. Taxpayers who do not have direct debit for the indicated concepts may pay them through three channels:
- Cash deposit at any office of A Banca or Banco Sabadell during public service hours.
- Through the ATMs of the aforementioned financial entities.
- Through the City Council website, www.monfortedelemos.es.
Appeals and executive proceedings
An appeal for reversal may be filed against the agreement approving the rolls and their settlements within one month from the day following the end of the public exhibition, according to article 14.2 c) of Legislative Royal Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Revised Text of the Local Treasuries Law. An administrative-litigation appeal may be filed against the express or presumed resolution of the appeal under the terms of Law 25/98, of July 13.
The announcement warns that, once the voluntary payment period has elapsed, debts will be demanded through enforcement proceedings, with the corresponding surcharges for the executive period, late-payment interest and, where applicable, any costs incurred. The document is signed in Monforte de Lemos on August 31, 2026, by the mayor, by delegation of the Decree of 21.06.2023, the first deputy mayor, Gloria María Prada Rodríguez.
The publication of these registers has a direct impact on virtually all taxpayers in the municipality, as it covers everyday taxes such as the cemetery, kiosks, fair stalls, or parking. Knowing the payment schedule and the enabled channels avoids surcharges and allows for the regularization of debts within the voluntary period.
