Molinos de Duero initiates the disaffection of the Telephone House.

Por FactBox Admin

The Molinos de Duero Town Council has initiated the file for the removal from the public domain of the building known as the Telephone House, located at 4 Plaza Gorgonio de Miguel, with the aim that the property ceases to be considered public domain. The notice is published in Official Gazette of the Province of Soria number 93, of 12 August 2026, and opens a one-month public information period so that interested parties may submit allegations.

Removal from the public domain is the administrative procedure by which a municipal property ceases to be classified as public domain, and the file has been processed by the competent services of the council. The notice does not specify the subsequent use to be given to the property once the procedure is completed, which remains conditioned on the allegations submitted during the public exposure period.

A file on a singular property

The subject of the file is the building known as the Telephone House, a property located at 4 Plaza Gorgonio de Miguel, whose removal from municipal public domain has been initiated ex officio by the Town Council. The essential data of the procedure are as follows:

  • Property: Telephone House building, 4 Plaza Gorgonio de Miguel.
  • Procedure: removal of a property from the public domain.
  • Instructing body: competent services of the Molinos de Duero Town Council.

One month of public information

The notice opens, for a period of one month, the public information procedure, during which the file will be available for consultation through the two channels enabled by the council:

  • Office of the Molinos de Duero Town Council, during public service hours.
  • Electronic Headquarters of the Town Council, where the documentation can be consulted online.

During this period, those persons who may be considered interested may appear and submit any allegations, suggestions or claims they deem appropriate, as stated in the notice itself. Once the period has elapsed without observations, the file may continue its processing.

Publication and signature

The notice appears in section II (Local Administration) of Official Gazette of the Province of Soria number 93, corresponding to Wednesday 12 August 2026, on page 2779, with the official reference BOPSO-93-12082026. The document is dated in Molinos de Duero on 7 August 2026 and signed by the mayor, Miguel Bonilla Cornejo.

Publication in the official gazette marks the start of the countdown of the procedural deadlines, so residents, adjoining property owners, and any person who demonstrates an interest in the procedure must submit their allegations within the one-month exposure period if they wish to assert their rights. The declassification also entails a significant change in the public heritage of a small town such as Molinos de Duero, by altering the legal status of a building with its own name in the heart of the square, and its processing will be subject to the outcome of this period of citizen participation.
