Molina de Segura appoints 16 new Local Police officers

The Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM) has published the appointment of 16 officers as career civil servants of the Local Police of Molina de Segura, one of the most populous municipalities in the region. The resolution, dated 30 July 2026 and signed by the mayor José Ángel Alfonso Hernández, is published in issue number 188 of the gazette, corresponding to Monday 17 August 2026, in section IV. Local Administration, page 19608.

The appointment is formalised by means of Mayoral Resolution number 2026003775, dated 29 July 2026, once the selection process has concluded. Previously, the Director General of Civil Service and Social Dialogue of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia issued a resolution on the same day, 29 July, declaring the candidates who passed the selection course for promotion L as suitable.

The 16 new officers enter the Special Administration Scale, Special Services Subscale, Local Police Class, with the rank of Officer. The publication is made in compliance with Article 62 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015 of 30 October, which approves the consolidated text of the Basic Statute of Public Employees Act.

Appeals and time limits

The resolution exhausts the administrative route. Against it, a discretionary appeal for reconsideration may be lodged with the Mayoral Office within one month of publication, or an administrative contentious appeal may be lodged within two months before the competent judicial body, in accordance with Law 39/2015 of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure, and Law 29/1998 of 13 July, regulating the Administrative Contentious Jurisdiction.

Impact for Molina de Segura

The incorporation of 16 new officers represents a significant reinforcement of the Local Police force in a municipality that, with more than 70,000 inhabitants, is one of the most populous in the Region of Murcia. The L promotion thus completes a selection process that will improve the coverage of citizen security in the different areas of the municipality.
