Mogán eleva a 44.000 euros las subvenciones a los clubes de fútbol

The Mogán City Council has corrected the call for competitive grants intended for football sports entities in the municipality for the year 2026 and has increased the budget allocation from 18,000 to 44,000 euros. The rectification, agreed upon by the Local Government Board in an ordinary session on October 6, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas number 128, dated October 26, 2026, with reference 3.419 and identifier 2.164.653.

An error in the budget allocation

The announcement, signed in Mogán on October 21, 2026, by the mayor-president, Onalia Bueno García, explains that the original call was approved by agreement of the Local Government Board on September 23, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas number 117, dated September 30, 2026. Having detected an error regarding the budget allocation intended for the grant, the granting body agreed to the correction of the fourth section of the summary.

The corrected text maintains the same budget allocation—341.480.00, titled “Promotion and encouragement of sport; other grants” for the 2026 fiscal year—and only modifies the global amount:

  • Where it said: allocated credit of 18,000 euros.
  • It should say: allocated credit of 44,000 euros.

The call is processed under identification number BDNS 931708 in the National Grants Database, where the full text can be consulted, in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17.

Affected clubs and requirements

All football sports clubs that meet the conditions set out in the summary may apply for this line:

  • Have the registered office in the municipality of Mogán.
  • Be registered in the Registry of Sports Entities of the Canary Islands.
  • Participate in official football and futsal competitions.
  • Conduct training sessions in facilities located within the municipal boundaries.
  • Not be included in the Strategic Grants Plan of the Mogán City Council to receive a nominative grant.
  • Not fall under the circumstances of article 13 of the General Grants Law.
  • Be up to date with state, regional, and Social Security tax obligations.
  • Not be disqualified from receiving grants and have justified those previously granted.

Clubs of modalities other than football, which are governed by a specific call, are excluded.

Bases, bodies, and deadline

The call for applications is based on the regulatory bases for grants to sports entities in football modalities in the municipality of Mogán, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas number 119, on Monday, October 2, 2023. The objective is to collaborate with the expenses of training and competitions of local clubs.

The instructing body is the head of the Culture and Sports Service of the Mogán City Council, or the technician to whom they delegate, while the resolution corresponds to the Local Government Board. Applications are submitted using the standardized forms available at www.mogan.es, electronically through the municipal electronic office or in person at the General Registry, and the deadline is 15 business days from the day following the publication in the provincial gazette.

Impact for the clubs

The increase in credit, from 18,000 to 44,000 euros, more than doubles the amount initially planned and expands the distribution margin among the grassroots and amateur football entities of the municipality that apply for the call. Interested clubs must readjust their applications and budgets to the new amount and check the submission deadlines on the municipal electronic office.
